The whole experience was a disaster. The email we sent with our dietary requirements was forgotten, and not only was there no special menu for us, but first, we were served some snacks containing meat (we’re both meat free), and then few members of staff appeared telling us that they’re unable to cater for us. We were really looking forward to eating there, but we had to leave. Service was a huge let down, when we mentioned being vegan and pescatarian the waiter just assumed we’re going with the full meat menu, weren’t offered any wine selection, we were blamed for leaving the comments with our dietary on the requirements on the ‘wrong website’, we were put on a spot. If the restaurant takes reservatio Through fork, it should also receive any comments left there. I would understand that they can’t cater for us, but we booked the table 3 months ago and never got any feedback. We got 2 glasses of champagne for free hence an extra star. It was a really sad experience.

A lovely afternoon with some great dishes and lovely wines. We had the grand Chef taster with 12 courses plus a taster and petits fours. The prawn was sensational as was the sea bass and oyster. And, without doing each course, this menu is lovely. The wines were excellent especially the white Rioja and the pudding wine (Cream Xixarito Jerez) - unusual, so different from Sauternes, Tokay and quite delicious. My only negative is that I felt the service was too quick. With so much food we needed a break between plates. And, maybe as a result, I left full which is never good. Would I go again - absolutely. It was a lovely experience and the staff were attentive and engaging.

Service has been excellent, very caring staff ready at any time to help and inform accordingly. Food was excellent, through a culinary experience that really takes you through the local tradition, in a very refined environment where space, wood walls and ceilings and light mix to create a magical classy atmosphere. My favorite plate was the oyster, followed by the beef, the creamy egg and the ravioli….Wines in accompaniment were also excellent! Highly recommended! Excellent experience value for money!

Excellent food, wine and service. Every January I run the Seville half marathon and now, the day after, I reward myself with a trip to Abantal. It’s imaginative, innovative cuisine that is firmly rooted in local traditions and local produce. You’re going to taste things that you haven’t had before and you might find some things unusual - but always delicious. Great service too and a really attractive relaxed room.

The ambience of Abantal was acceptable for a 1 Star Michelin restaurant. After a horrible start with snacks, I had finally hope, that I could get a decent meal in Seville, because the oyster was fantastic. But a big disappointment was to follow. Each course got worse and worse. Chef was under the impression, that the same sauce on 4 or 5 dishes was ok. Everything tasted the same. Creativity = 0!!!!! It was a sad evening from the culinary point of view and at the end I could not agree with the Michelin tester how a Star was awarded to the restaurant.

Ambience and service is one Michelin star level. Food is not good. The oyster course was OK The rest of hot courses was not good. Especially the sauce for all of them were the same. Sorbet with ginger cream was good. If you looking for a Michelin experience, this is not the restaurant. Book this restaurant if you are looking for a meal with good service and ambience.

This was an amazing experience! The food was immaculate, and the service was incredible. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, and to our surprise, as we arrived we were led through the kitchen to the chefs table with a complete view and access to the kitchen and chefs. We were able to interact with the staff, and get pictures as they prepared the courses. Although the highlight of the night was the outstanding service and the incredible food. Having been to several Michelin restaurants for prior anniversaries, this one ranked at the top.
