Lovely, beyond expectations. The service is very meticulous but the food!!!! Wow. This is far beyond a chef's restaurant. Everything is beautifully presented and with flavors so balanced that it's amazing. I never thought I would be so excited about a rolled chicken breast dish. Even the special dips alongside the bread at the beginning were so special.

Food was excellent - tuna tataki and clams starters were highlights. Excellent wine and a nice touch on bringing desserts out to choose rather than a menu. Final nice touch was a glass of port each on the house. The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Ambience may have been better later but we were eating early

One of the best restaurants in Alvor. The menu is unique and well through out. The waiters are very knowledgeable around the menu knowing where everything comes from regarding the food. They are also great at recommending wine. The children’s menu is simple yet fantastic. We had the Cataplana which was delicious. The desserts are all home made and outstanding. Fantastic experience and I loved the welcome drink.

An absolutely stunning evening spent at this delightful restaurant. The welcome was warm and friendly, as was the service all the way through. The food was excellent; a couvert we shared, mussels and scallops for starters, meat cataplana for main. Everything was truly exceptional and clearly made with love. The wine list was also excellent, as hoped for. We chose an Alentejo red (and were asked if we preferred room temperature or cooler - praise the wine gods for this one!!!) which was perfect to drink along with the cataplana. We shared a lemon meringue pie and my husband had a 10yo Tawny Port to complete the meal. An outstanding dinner. When we return to the Algarve we will make a point of visiting Alvor Wine once again.

Very good meal and service as always. Bit disappointed my reservation as it was so early didn't get to restaurant by the time we attended. They accommodated us but it was a bit awkward.

Alvor Wine is a restaurant where I return when I’m near. Along the years the quality maintains as very good and wines tasted are great. For those who like Portuguese food it’s for sure a place to go.
