Dinner was just ok. The black pudding was greasy. The lamb rump was undercooked in parts. My husband said his main meal of prawns was lovely. The meal was just underwhelming. We have definitely had better during our stay. However the service was impeccable.

This is a very good pick. The food and service were excellent ant the atmosphere was very pleasant. The tables are set apart and the restaurant is very clean. The service was attentive and good humoured - just a very nice place to dine. Food options are wide ranging and the taste was ourstanding. My venison was perfectly cooked and the apple pie was superb. The wine list is very good with a wide range of regional options. We enjoyed it so much we cancelled our Saturday reservation and managed to get the last table here - LUCKY! Book in advance with Fork to avoid disappointment.

The staff we're very friendly. We had mushrooms to start which were nice, but no garnish and not very hot. My husband enjoyed his fillet steak and i had the lamb rump which was lovely, but the frozen chips were just plonked on our plate and the veg didn't looked fresh and it had been cooked for a while and kept hot, would of been nice of they were served in a dish. Presentation was lacking.
