10/10My sister had recommended this restaurant as she had visited a few years ago. It definitely did not disappoint. The food was delicious - my top recommendations are the scallops and the duck paella. The ambiance was lovely and the set up looked great. The servers, in particular, Precious, were friendly and welcoming. Precious really made the whole evening even better as she made sure I had a great time (sat me in a good spot as I was dining alone) and was topped up on the wine. Highly recommend and worth a visit!

7/10We booked this place because of the great reviews and it came up as a place to eat great paella. This is NOT the place to get paella. We ordered the “seafood paella” and what we received was a small vat of very fishy tasting rice with TWO shrimp, butterflied on top for 22 euro. What?? I’m half spanish and have eaten a ton of paella in my life - but this one was beyond disappointing and obviously meant to trick tourists?? Who knows…. I will say that our server was lovely and gave us great service despite the mediocre food. Last thing that I will share was an unfortunate experience with our seating. I had made a reservation and we were initially given a lovely table. However - a large party (12 people) showed up without a reservation and the restaurant ( understandably) wanted to serve them. They moved us up to the second floor where we sat, by ourselves and away from everyone else. Not great.

10/10In our opinion, it’s one of the best restaurants in the city. Meals are so flavorful and tasty, super delicious. The staff is so kind and fast serve. Brando is the top with his know-how and jokes. We all surely suggest.

10/10Food was really good and service was great! Like the scallop, seafood paella, smoked cheese cake & Cava Sangria! Only thing was that I felt unsafe walking in the neighbourhood to the restaurant.

7/10THIS IS A WONDERFUL RESTAURANT IN A VERY DANGEROUS AREA - PLEASE READ MY FULL REVIEW The Restaurant: On our trip to Barcelona last week we made a reservation at Arume based upon good reviews. The restaurant is located in the neighborhood of El Raval about 10 blocks west of the crowded tourist street La Rambla. It was an easy walk from our hotel in the Gothic Quarter down a predominantly pedestrian street. We were greeted warmly and seated right away but at a temporary table as they told us the table in the window was about to pay their check. Please note, there’s only one table in a small nook that has a window and a glass door. There’s no view as you look into very small alley that fronts the restaurant and a spraypainted metal security door across the alley. We waited about 10 minutes and were then moved to the table in the window. The Food: We really did have a fantastic meal with starters including their sausage croquettes, the scallops w/ creamed corn and the seared tuna with peanut cilantro hummus. Our mains were also delicious including the duck rice with mushrooms and peppers (described to us as their “duck paella”). The bottle of wine we ordered was no longer available but the server recommendation a Reserve Rioja for the same price and it was fabulous. Even the bread and olive oil (served in a tube) were really good. The Neighborhood: We were told that El Raval was a bit of a rough neighborhood but it was literally 5 minutes past La Rambla, we also live in a major metropolitan city, had an 8pm reservation (20:00) and saw lots of people on the street, so we assumed we’d be safe… We were very wrong! We left Arume and roughly 2-3 blocks from the restaurant, we were physically mugged. I was attacked from behind, violently pulled onto my back in the middle of the street, my fiancée holding my arm and was flipped over me as I fought with the attacker (from my back) while he worked to rip my watch off my wrist. The whole thing last 5-6 seconds in the middle of the street with people walking on the sidewalk… and no one even asked if we were ok when it was over! I was not wearing a very expensive or flashy watch, more interesting is that fact that my coat covered my entire arm walking to and from the restaurant, so the only way anyone ever saw my watch was in the restaurant and in the window while we were eating. In speaking with locals and reading after the incident, El Raval is now one of Barcelona’s most dangerous neighborhoods. While Arume is a very good restaurant, please be advised that the neighborhood where it is located is VERY dangerous!

10/10We thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the accommodating service and cozy atmosphere to the excellent small list of very well chosen wines. But most of all the food was fantastic, we sampled liberally and found something (many things, actually) to love in each dish. We especially loved the scallops with corn crema, the pressed Iberico pork, the duck paella and the smoked San Simon cheese cake.

9.5/10We were blown away by this little place. Reservations are a MUST. Every course was exceptional, standouts were the scallops to start, and the duck paella - which was incredible. The waitress made the night, she explained the menu, recommended dishes, and kept the smiles coming. Highly recommend.

10/10We came from Amsterdam and we're a bit late. The staff was super kind and welcomed us with great joy. The food was amazing every dish super great and lovely. The prize is very reasonable and because we live nearby this will become one of our favorite places to eat.
