Great Food, Great Beer, Excellent Staff.

the food is Basque. Hearty and well seasoned. The ambiance is lively and full of fun. The antique metal posters that cover the walls - super. Nothing fancy - just classic French food. You will walk out with a smile on your face.

Au Dernier Metro has an extraordinarily broad menu, which can be risky in terms of maintaining a large inventory of ingredients. They do an excellent job of delivering high quality French cuisine, being possibly the best bistro in a popular area.

Unusually varied menu with excellent southwestern and classic French cuisine. My calves liver was done perfectly and well served. The wine selection is very good for a neighborhood bistro.

My food (duck confit) was absolutely fantastic, but the pork my daughter was served was 95% fat (not an overstatement). Lovely place though.

I continue to be surprised how excellent the food is, given the breadth of the menu, which includes dishes that can often be more challenging, such as calves' liver and pork chop, which were our selections today. The staff are always attentive and efficient, and the wine selection is also quite attractive, with reasonable pricing. This is our classic French bistro of choice, although we tend to avoid it on days when rugby match local 15th club overflows the clientele into the street!

Classic French bistro with unusually diverse menu, backed up with high quality ingredients. Foie de Veau (Calf's Liver) was tender and perfectly prepared. Lamb dishes were also excellent, and I expect to try other items on their menu on subsequent visits.

Good food, good atmosphere. Gives you the traditional experience. I removed one point due to water bottle costing 6.5 euro (you can ask tap water instead) and the fact that while the thefork discount was applied all plates were under 1 line item. In conclusion very nice place , with good food and good atmosphere.

one of the waiters was super rude to us when we arrived to the restaurant. we had to talk to another waiter as the first one told us he did not care we had a reservation via the fork. after that everything was great. the other waiters were super friendly and the food was so good.

There are far better Basque restaurants in Paris; give this one a miss. The menu has some interesting items but the service is clueless. They are more interested in chatting with their mates than serving customers.

Great atmosphere in a local setting. Good food and great service. The proprietor was very welcoming and has a word or three for everyone. As nice a place to come for drinks and snacks as well as a meal. Will definitely come back for more..

Different than last week. Distracted service, football game on tv inside with the room full of people screaming...NOBODY with a mask. One waiter had one around the neck, the other one below the nose. No wonder France is being hit hard again with covid. Now am in Belgium, everybody, everywhere with masks, menu and register on your phone, etc It's still a good place with great food though.

Great place with tasty cuisine from the south area near the Spanish border. Eager smiling service, great wines and beer.

The food and service were good. However, it was very loud. Much more of a bar scene than the restaurant atmosphere we were hoping for.

We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the place and the service was quite friendly too but our duck was rather tough and while the sauce was quite tasty the dish was a little plain overall. Maybe I would recommend it for a glass of wine or a beer and a quick bite but not for a full meal.

Fantastic atmosphere. Be prepared to be put on a table side by side with other diners. Even though you are piled in it makes for a great atmosphere! The wine was brilliant so was the food; yet quite rustic. The duck and steak were incredible!!! Staff spoke English even though it was quite broken as well as a poorly translated English menu- not an issue though: just go with it! Would recommend for a cheapish french lovely meal!
