May not look fancy from the outside but it’s a highly recommended place for local Alsace food specials and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The desserts are particularly yummy and very generous but the tarte flambée is also excellent. A gem outside of the city but highly visited by local residents and this makes it even more authentic

I have always loved this little restaurant. I go there every time I am in town. For the first time ever, I was disappointed by the “welcome”. The waiter who welcomed my family mumbled that I should have called to let them know that it was no longer a party of 4, but it was now a party of 5. The fifth person was my 7-year old nephew. I admit it was my fault, but the waiter could have been a little nicer about it, especially considering that I am a returning customer. Needless to say, the other waiters were very pleasant and professional. I recommend the plain tarte flambée as a main meal, and the tarte flambée aux pommes with Calvados for dessert. The food is great, and I have never been disappointed in their meals. The setting is beautiful too, and if you show up in the summer, make sure to make a reservation and ask for the outside patio.
