This spot is a hidden gem in Catalonia! In the little humble town of Sant Pau is this spot serving up local dishes cooked to perfection. They are clearly proud of their heritage, and it shows on every plate. Their grilled and wood fired dishes are their wheelhouse, given their open oven in the kitchen. They also have an incredible wine list, from whites, roses, amber, red, and of course, sparkling (which the Penedes region is known for). So happy to have discovered this spot when I was visiting the region! I wish I could have tried many more dishes on the menu!

Our host was such a kick. So helpful and full of personality. Kept telling us he did r speak English but so helpful with the menu and wine list. He gave us a fabulous suggestion on cava and red wine and also guided us towards the fresh peas and also fish which was perfectly cooked turbot. Beat lamb we have had on spain although they are always the very small chops. Open fire for the chef who cooks all to perfection. Delish grilled veggies and romesco as well. Will be back for sure.
