9/10We went for lunch. The two people who served us in the main hall were smiling and very efficient. However, we realized that it would be impossible for just two people to manage a fully booked event. Management needs to hire at least one more service person.

10/10It is difficult to find a bad meal in Spain, so the bar is pretty high for finding some thing as extraordinary as this restaurant. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life and the ambience and service matched. My husband and I both had the menu of the day, which was five courses, for €30. This price would not get you one entrée in restaurants where I come from, which is Portland Oregon not New York City. Each course was special excellent and just the right size. The food was traditional yet innovative and inventive and the sommelier helped us pick out perfect wines for various courses. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and think everyone who has the opportunity should definitely go there. I can’t imagine that they will be disappointed.

10/10Hidden in a very nice location in the centre of Vilafranca, this is the best place to enjoy a delicious meal.. The quality is always excellent, the chef uses seasonal ingredients, and always surprises. Service is very friendly and the wine choice is amazing. A hidden gem in Vilafranca!

La carta de El Cigró es cambiante y va variando en función del producto de temporada disponible… y de lo que le apetezca a Oriol Llavina, un chef al que le gustan mucho las travesuras en la cocina. En sus comienzos, allá por 2002, ya hacía de las suyas en Gelida. Por eso, cuando se mudó al mercado de la carne en Vilafranca en 2012, siguió dando que hablar. Cada loco con su tema, y el de Oriol es la cocina: viva, intensa, inquieta y que bebe del Penedés y de sus vinos. Tres opciones de menú (laborable, Cigró y degustación) a cada cual mejor y muy asequibles en un comedor abuhardillado amplio, con bastante luz natural y cocina a la vista para que disfrutes viendo cómo preparan los mejores canelones crujientes de pollo con bechamel de foie-gras. Mmmm… No se lo digas a nadie, pero en la barra puedes comer un menú degustación por el precio del de mediodía.
