We chose the ‘Menu Degustazione- sensations di mare’. Their tasting menu was a gastronomical extravaganza and certainly lived up to its name….sea sensations! Service was welcoming, friendly and excellent. Chef came out from time to time to speak to guests and check everyone was happy with their food. Decor right up my street too. Flawless ! A must visit in Ischia.

Very disappointed! The place is esthetically nice but has a terrible problem: the insufferable noise coming from the next door café and its live " musician". This unacceptable noise level ruins the pleasure of eating at Cru and if I had known, I would not have reserved there. The food was uneven. Tartars and risotto were ok to good, but nothing exceptional. The codfish carpaccio was outright bad. The service lacked elegance and commercial smartness. Example: my glass of white wine was poured without my first tasting it, as has been the case in all other restaurants. . When I told the waiter I did not like it, he said he had no other local wine I could have by the glass instead of having the intelligence of offering me some other local wine, as was done in other restaurants. Likewise no reaction when I said we did not like the codfish carpaccio. No reaction other than trying to sell me dessert.

Really good, excellent value taster menu and worth giving it a try. The taster menu at the time included a lemon and squid risotto which when accompanied with an Ischian, Tommasone, Pithecusa left the mouth wanting more (do this, it was amazing) Set just off one of the main pedestrian routes, it is a well presented, chic restaurant with minimalist look and great staff. There was a larger group eating nearby and the kitchen was throwing out large sharing bowls of pasta and the a la crate menu was also very tempting, however the taster offering was stupidly good value for the quality served.

New menu didn’t disappoint. All ingredients are chosen carefully for quality and seasonality. I really like this place, a much needed food pearl in Ischia, great service, perfect wine pairing, amazing food. The new tasting menu was again a great selection, perfectly balanced and well priced. I could come here every day and never be bored or disappointed.

If you are a couple or a couple of friends, looking for great food, outstanding service and reasonable price I’d be struggling to recommend anywhere else at least on the island. The restaurant is new, you can tell everyone is passionate about the job and making the experience as good as possible for all guests. Prices are more then fair for what you get, which is good quality, fresh/seasonal ingredients, cooked well with taste and love for food. The service was outstanding, cannot praise the waiter enough for his courteous, but honest feedback on everything, and his wine pairing was spot on. If you are on the island of Ischia you’d be nuts not to visit this place. There is plenty of great dining experiences in Ischia, but this is definitely amongst the “must try” ones.
