9/10The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, the wine menu offers a broad selection of good quality wines. The amuse-bouches and the starters were quite good; the main courses not quite at the same high level, but nothing to complain about. We will return soon.

10/10As always, The Fork comes through. This was an outstanding meal at a reasonable price for the quantity and quality. I had the 7 course menu and my wife had the 6. In addition to those courses the restaurant gave us several additional tastes as so often happens in high level places. All the flavors were fresh, well seasoned, imaginative and beautifully prepared. The service was genial, well timed and intelligently explained. The atmosphere was refined and the ambient music was audible and pleasant without being intrusive. My wife had a glass of wine with dinner that she pronounced excellent. At 10€ for a good pour, it was excellent value. I don’t know that I’ll ever get back to Amstelveen but if I do I’ll certainly go back. A great experience!

10/10Lovely restaurant with outstanding service but don't expect to be in a rush. This is a meal to linger over and enjoy. The song is intimate, though a little loud and the food is outstanding. The only small negative is that some dishes are very salty so could do with some toning down. All in all, very recommended.

10/10We had a 6 course meal, that by the end was quite a lot, so maybe a 5 course is already enough. We also had the wince pairing, half a glass, but charged as full glass, so go and chose the full glass pairing as it makes no difference. We ere close to a table holding a large wine bowl to serve all the tables and sometimes waiters dropped the bottles so hard the bang startled us. Fine ambient in the windmill

10/10From the moment we walked in the service was impeccable. Food was creative and delicious. Recommended by a friend who had been over 5 years ago and raved about it. Glad to see things are just as nice as my friend remembered.

10/10Always an amazing experience. Two dying in a 350 year old windmill is awesome. The food is always of a Michelin star quality and the white tablecloth tables and beautiful ambience only add to the experience. Literally a bargain at twice the price. Highly recommend!

10/10I took my sister here to celebrate our birthdays and she was very impressed. The food is absolutely delicious and they catered for my diet restrictions with no issues. We had the 5 courses and enjoyed every dish. We attended the night of the new menu too and we were not disappointed with the flavours, presentation, ambience and service. I highly recommend and can't wait to come back.

10/10Very nice restaurant in an old windmill. Excellent view from the terrace. Very friendly and knowledgeable service in fluent English. Flexible Chef menu with 4-7 courses and wine pairing reasonably priced. Sea bass with chantarelle mushrooms and beurre blanc sauce was excellent. I will visit again.

A unique experience in Amstelveen "Skilled staff and delicious courses" is an often mentioned remark in the reviews on this restaurant De Jonge Dikkert. Enough said. This is a restaurant where great dishes are being served in a relaxing ambiance. Hospitality is a key focus here, performed in an old Dutch sawmill from 1672. A unique experience!
