I was so glad, that this place was open as we had arrived quite late to the hotel. We ordered the two bowls of fish soup, which was very tasty (I needed to change my mind about fish soups at all 😉) and a pot with shrips and rice in tomato sauce (starting with A smth) that was big enough to share and enjoy together. So, all in all, food was tasty, atmosphere was authentic and staff were welcome

Unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations. Although the person who served us was very kind and helpful, the limpets (appetizer, pictured) had an unpleasant smell, were full of sand, and had a nasty taste. When we pointed this out to the chef, she seemed not to care. The catch of the day was good, but the potatoes that came with it were a few days too old. In general, during the meal (despite us being the only customers), there was a lot of noise from the staff rearranging the room. We were disappointed that our experience was so negative; the fish at the entrance looked fresh, and there were numerous culinary certificates hanging up.

This meal was without a doubt the finest meal we've had in Portugal. The freshest seafood, prepared perfectly with so much pride. Diamantino, our waiter and I believe the manager, provided such stellar service and joy, that we will always remember our time in Peniche for this perfect evening. Great food. Great wine. Great service. Highly recommend.

We had a delicious meal to celebrate my wife’s 71st birthday. The food and sparkling wine were indescribably delicious. The waiter was courteous and funny. One of most favorite meals on a long time.

We were concerned that many restaurants are closed on Sunday, we were pleased to find Estelas open and taking reservations. Though the restaurant is nicely appointed we were concerned that we were the only ones there. We needn’t. The food and service were excellent, the proprietor was patient and helpful; all the fish were fresh and expertly prepared, we started with seafood appetizers which included octopus, shrimps and mussels, all delicious. Grilled sardines were wonderful. And we highly recommend the house vino verde - and the house red also good. Was a very pleasant meal and evening.

The food is amazing, do try the “raia” The service was wonderful, the employees are very kind and helpful. Definitely a place to come back to, on a date or with family!

Don't go! We made a reservation through the fork at 2 pm for 8 pm. We arrived to the restaurant and the owner told us in a very rude way that he did not care about the fork bookings and told us to leave. We were shocked. I was never treated like that in a restaurant before.

Our host was amazing, as we could not speak Portuguese and him not able to speak English he made us feel so comfortable trying to explain the menu to us even though it was written in English. So good The food was awesome as was the wine
