The ambience is pleasant with large well separated tables. The staff and service friendly and correct. The food was generally very average at best. I would not recommend it until they improve the quality of their cuisine !

I was looking for a Michelin star restaurant in Milan and after searching, all the ones I wanted to go to were fully booked, Giannino was the only one with availability at last moment. The restaurant is beautiful, cozy, warm and welcoming. The ambiance was great and the staff was amazing! There were only 3 tables occupied so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The big problem was the food, I ordered the octopus for status and it was so hard to cut through and the flavors were not balancing, I couldn’t finish the meal, my partner ordered the crab salad which he also couldn’t finish. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt hoping the mains would be great but I was wrong 🥹😩for mains I had the monk fish with spinach, the fish was hard, dry and rubbery even the knife couldn’t cut it! The spinach was extremely salty and watery, I couldn’t finish the meal either. My partner ordered the butternut soap because,I mean what could go wrong? He couldn’t even finish it. The desert was the only thing I enjoyed. I’m so disappointed and sad that a Michelin star restaurant can serve such terrible food especially because the prices were not cheap. I hope they do better next time but I won’t be returning again.

We would give zero stars if that was an option. Tonight was a sub par experience ripe with poor form. Apathetic service across the entire team at Giannino. The petite dark haired waitress was clueless at best, bringing our friends dinner twenty mins before our dinner tho we ordered the same exact thing and her reason was she didn't understand. The stocky suited and older white haired managers did nothing to manage service and remedy our situation. We finally asked for the bill because we didn't get our mains and suddenly they hurried it up tried serving us and insisted we take it to go as it's now ready. Appalling and a joke for a restaurant claiming to be Mixhelen. Our first time 3yrs ago was lovely, less so last year and this year an absolute shit show. Tbe waitress then proceeded to try to be tough and scare us w mean looks which were also addressed by letting her know she was at fault and the reason we werw leaving due to her poorly executed order taking and execution. We left embarrassed for the guests we brought and will never be back again tho we visit Milan at least once per year. The bathroom was also in poor form and the 'manager' seemed too occupied organizing menus for next day service. Do better and go to Excelsior Gailia a few minutes down the road.

The restaurant was almost empty and they had to buzz us in which made us feel we were in an unsafe area. While the place was nice being almost empty ruined the ambiance. Service was good and the food was ok. For the prices and decor I would expect more form the food (chef). Overall it was okay but it felt like they wanted to wow me and that did not happen.

Overall this restaurant is fairly good. The bread was very good. The spinach was excellent. Osso Buco was not tender and it was not seasoned properly.

Food quality:starters-the beef tartar was quite good, but octopus was hard. Main dishes: the turbot was rather good and ossobuco was an absolutely ordinary dish like it was homemade. The desserts didn’t impress us. The service- the waiter forgot several times our order. The interior is beautiful but the music does not correspond to it

Food was over cooked and dry. Risotto was good as was dessert. Almost no one in restaurant at 7:30 on a Thursday night. Veal chop way over cooked and had to ask for sauce. Dessert was good.
