7/10I'm lucky I met Alessandro as my waiter, he was so kind to ask the kitchen if I could have the tasting menu even tho they just make it to two or more. The food was tasty, but some of it was not balanced. Especially the acorn fed pork, they could have used any kind of pork because the chutney and glace was so overpowering and you did not really taste that it was pork. I would say great value, but something's a miss with the food. Minus on the ambience, the table was tilting and small flies everywhere and in the soy sauce bottle.

10/10It was our fifth visit to Ikibana Parallel, but first after ownership changed. Service and food was very good. It was Christmas Eve and was not to busy. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. Good place to visit. Live DJ after 8:30.

4.5/10We have been regularly customers of ikibana over several years. This was our first visit after Covid and we looked forward to eat in your venue. It was really quiet and there was no or little music to set the mood that we were used to from previous visits. We ordered drinks to set the mood, but we got the food before cocktails. After 3 courses we asked the waiter for drinks. We asked also if we could order some wine???? the food was ok, but overall a bad experience.

10/10Alejandra gave us amazing service and even taught us a few Spanish words. The sushi chefs were amazing and the food was beyond delicious. I definitely will come back upon my return to Barcelona. Muchas Gracias!!!

About this restaurant
Muy cerca de Tickets, de Bodega 1900 y del resto de locales del imperio Adrià, en esa especie de Milla de Oro gastronómica que se construye en los alrededores del Paral·lel, encontramos este glamuroso restaurante japonés. Ikibana destila clase y sofisticación, un derroche de voluptuosidad que se traduce también en sus platos. La filosofía de este japonés es fusionar la gastronomía nipona con el recetario latinoamericano, especialmente brasileño, un mestizaje que da lugar a platos realmente sorprendentes. Ahí están sus dadinhos de tapioca rebozados con panko, farofa y salsa agridulce, o sus palmitos uramaki, con aguacate y mayonesa picante, envuelto en picanha de ternera y cebolla crujiente. O el São Paulo Way Uramaki, que ejemplifica bien esta fusión: con atún, pescado blanco y papaya, envuelto en aguacate, piña caramelizada y jalapeño. La carta es amplísima y versátil, y funciona tanto para un picoteo informal como para grandes banquetes, en un local donde reina el buen gusto y el surtido de sushi no se acaba nunca. Cuentan también con numerosos entrantes de inspiración tanto japonesa como latinoamericana, con sus ceviches y sus ensaladas tropicales, y con una selección de carne de wagyu que quita el hipo. Es recomendable empezar siempre con un surtido variado de sushi y no dejar pasar platos de altura como el tataki de atún sobre tuétano a la brasa y salsa criolla tropical.
