We had dinner at Ikibana Parallel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff was quite friendly and attentive, service was pretty fast. The ambiance was nice with decorations, comfy and cozy sitting area, dimmed lights and good music played by a DJ (which was a bit loud for a restaurant but not at a level to bother you) Menu contains some items from Japanese cuisine and some from Brazil with original touches. We started with tapioca cubes and beef gyozas which were followed by a sushi roll (Carnaval Uramaki), for the main course we shared robata chicken and yakisoba. Everything was tasty but our favorite was the robata chicken. At the end, we asked for coffee but when we were still waiting for our coffees they brought us the bill instead. Even though we made a reservation with Fork with a discount, we noticed that it was not applied to the total price. When we mentioned it they quickly corrected it though.

I'm lucky I met Alessandro as my waiter, he was so kind to ask the kitchen if I could have the tasting menu even tho they just make it to two or more. The food was tasty, but some of it was not balanced. Especially the acorn fed pork, they could have used any kind of pork because the chutney and glace was so overpowering and you did not really taste that it was pork. I would say great value, but something's a miss with the food. Minus on the ambience, the table was tilting and small flies everywhere and in the soy sauce bottle.

It was our fifth visit to Ikibana Parallel, but first after ownership changed. Service and food was very good. It was Christmas Eve and was not to busy. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. Good place to visit. Live DJ after 8:30.

We have been regularly customers of ikibana over several years. This was our first visit after Covid and we looked forward to eat in your venue. It was really quiet and there was no or little music to set the mood that we were used to from previous visits. We ordered drinks to set the mood, but we got the food before cocktails. After 3 courses we asked the waiter for drinks. We asked also if we could order some wine???? the food was ok, but overall a bad experience.

Amazing as always , we had The tasting menu for 8 and let the house recommend a bunch of different cocktails to match the food. They did an outstanding job!
