10/10Fantastic evening at Il Tagliere Gourmet, I read the reviews and was impressed with how consistent good they were at how good this place is. having visited, it really is THAT good. The meats and cheese platter was a work of art and the steak Tartare with the covering of melted cheese and walnuts was perfection. The owner knows his flavour pairing well. The service was great, even an extra bread basket and digetifs at the end to add to the experience. Thank you for a great evening in Turin.

10/10+2When you have a great time at a new restaurant, there’s some trepidation making a return visit. Will it be as good? I can happily say Tagliere Gourmet was great both times! My wife and I recently brought her Mamma here. We were so impressed with amazing tagliere that are not the run-of-the-mill salami and cheeses you find at most bars. So when my sisters-in-law came to Torino this weekend I suggested this spot. Some of us had their unique Steak Tartare (the Mozzarella-di-Bufala-topped one and I had their Fondue Tartare with fondue cheese and walnuts). Splendid taste and texture. When Franco brought out the huge wooden tagliere board, everyone was in awe of the size and selection. Highlights: Bresaola of Japanese Wagyu beef, Mocetta of boar and Speck of smoked duck and a French Brillat Savarin cheese. Excellent cocktails (my Vesper was A+). My advice is: relax with your drinks and chat with your friends. Franco cuts the tagliere to order so it takes some time but the wait is worth it!!!

10/10A great discovery, proprietor Franco has created a very special spot. The menu focuses on 2 things: tagliere and a variety of steak tartare. For our 1st visit we chose taglieri, sliced on-the-spot to be freshest. We were both intrigued by the tagliere of the Amalfi Coast and were ordering 2. Franco suggested that we have 1 Amalfi and 1 large mixed platter with 5 salame and 5 cheeses. He said that would give us lots more variety to enjoy. This wasn’t an upsell, as it was less pricey than if we’d ordered the 2 Amalfi. Fantastic presentation! Franco explained each item, all wonderful. Highlights on the Amalfi were the Buffalo salame and Bresaola and a Buffalo blue cheese. On the mixed tagliere standouts included fresh salame from Turgia, slices of raw elk-meat, donkey-meat salami and cheeses such as Cabra aromatized in a chestnut leaf and an Erborinato of sheep’s milk. Also a nice menu of cocktails. I had an excellent Negroni and my husband said his Vesper was fantastic. Grazie Franco!
