+1Excellent food, service, and wine in a beautiful setting. Very pretty and comfortable restaurant. Good range of options on menus. I selected the lamb shoulder, a specialty of Aix and it was excellent as was the red wine recommended. I dined solo and was warmly welcomed as were all guests.

5.5/10Expectations were high given proclamations on their website and menu prices. 30euro for a shared antipasto plate that could easily be made at home, a risotto as tasteless as we’ve experienced and a sea bass that didn’t match the description on the English menu we were given. The staff were very attentive and graciously acknowledged our polite discontentment, and discounted the bill.

10/10This is a hidden gem in Aix en Provence. We live here for 6 years and this was our first but definitely not last visit to this very nice restaurant. Nice and welcoming service, outstandig food (veal escalope and scallops), a nice and varied wine list made the evening even better. Will be back soon

8.5/10Nice, tasteful, slightly formal atmosphere and service. Somewhat limited selection of wines by the glass, but the local red I had was good. Duck was nicely prepared. Overall sensation was that it’s a nice restaurant but the flavors could use just a bit more excitement/creativity/liveliness and the staff could loosen up just a bit.

We read many not so favorable reviews but decided to take a chance. Our server, Luca was pleasant and friendly. He recommended a local wine that we enjoyed. We started with the truffle focaccia- big mistake - it was so good we wanted to eat every bite. I had the seared scallops that were incredibly flavorful with a great mix of flavors on the plate. My husband had the lamb shoulder. It was succulent and accompanied by an array of roasted vegetables. We had no room for dessert after the magnificent gastronomic experience.

10/10This restaurant was so good we visited twice. The staff were excellent warm and friendly and the food was fabulous. Anyone visiting Aix en Provence and like excellent food, service and ambiance should visit Jardin Mazarin.

10/10very good quality and interesting flavors. delicious pressed leek appetizer and delicious housemade truffle ravioli. excellent wines available. price was better than other quality aix restaurants. this could become a regular for us.
