8.5/10This is a simple but nice Japanese restaurant. The menu is basic, but you will find all the "Japanese greatest hits" here. The staff is friendly, the meal arrived fast and overall, it is a cozy and pleasant experience.

9.5/10I think it's clear by now that I have a favorite Japanese restaurant in Barcelona (which I won't name because it's not the point of this post) and that I've had difficulties trying something different for lunch. But my wife’s birthday seemed like a good opportunity to change and discover something new. So I booked a table for two at Kibo Taberna. I had read very good things about that restaurant, and I knew already that the price wouldn't be the same as at my favourite place because there was no daily set: my credit card was ready ???? I don't mean that Kibo Taberna is especially expensive. Japanese restaurants in general are expensive. I must admit that I was scared I would be disappointed because I thought nothing would be like my favorite restaurant. Indeed, Kibo Taberna is different. But different is good too ???? We ordered 5 dishes and all of them were good, some of them even spectacular, like the Kibi Roll. The staff was very friendly and tried to help during the whole meal. The venue itself is probably the least good part of the experience: it's very simple. Not that a restaurant needs to look spectacular but don't expect much on that side. Finally the price... €84 for 5 dishes and 2 drinks is expensive. We ate enough with these 5 dishes, not too much, enough, so we can count that €40 per person is what we can expect to pay at Kibo Taberna. In conclusion, I will come back (maybe at night for the price) because, to be honest, that other restaurant apart, in terms of taste, I think Kibo Taberna is the best sushi restaurant I've tried in Barcelona so far. Quality & taste: 9/10 Quantities: 8/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Originality: 9/10 Ratio price / quality: 8/10 Service: 10/10 How I felt afterwards: 9/10

10/10Small, buy very good Japanese fusion restaurant. Nice presentation. Attentive service. Limited sake selection compensated with rear Asian craft beer choices.

10/10Amazing Japanese cuisine in a tiny space. We live close by and were excited to try our KIBO. It’s a tiny Japanese tavern with great ambience. We sat at the bar, which is not very comfortable but very entertaining as you get to see the chefs doing their thing. Rolls, Tatars and Niguiris and the Japanese desserts were all delicious, they use first rate and only fresh Ingridients. The price is a bit hefty, especially if you like to try out many dishes. However, for me, KIBO competes with 99 sushi bar, for many the best in Barcelona.

10/10My fave sushi chef in Barcelona is back! And now better than ever, with his very own Japanese tavern. Personal upbeat service, top notch quality fish and products and the magic touch from a true expert makes this place my ultimate favorite when it comes to a great Shushi experience in Barcelona. Great for a date night or to impress some friends with a unique and refined choice.

10/10This time, I came back with my daughter to try their Lunch menu. Their set 15€ menu offer. I was fantastic! Same quality ingredients, and a good combination of a soup, seaweeed salad (amazing) and the tuna or salmon roll together with a drink and dessert choice. We both left perfectly fed and happy with the value. Well done!
