8.5/10We did not know what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. Very good quality food at a reasonable price. We totally recommend the "octopus and bacon" and the cachopo. We thought the desserts were ok, one level slightly below the rest of the meal.

9/10Genuine "tasca" atmosphere. Welcoming and comfortable. Particularly recommend the "falso arroz de pato", the "zamburiñas" and the "katxopon": all absolutely delicious. We'll go again no doubt.

7/10Found this restaurant while in Madrid for 24 hrs. The staff was inviting and the space very clean and lovely. Be sure to request pairing advice - the red wine (which was delicious) did not pair well with all the cheeses on our cheese board nor one of our entrees. Speaking of entrees, unless you really enjoy VERY fishy goods cover in heavy cream sauce, I would suggest avoiding the sea crab and crawfish lasagna (Sea Crab Lasagna). To also clarify... the Iberian Sirloin is pork sirloin not beef - served is 2 breaded meat balls. The apple pie was more of a tart than a pie... but good flavor especially when paired with the pecan ice cream.

10/10Hidden away in a back street but surprisingly nice inside. We arrived just before the dining room opened after reserving on line. We were greeted politely and ushered in when the room opened. Me and my son chose a sampler for two and the dishes were tasty, surprising and filling - nothing ordinary. Waiters were helpful and attentive. This was a pleasant surprise for a traveler new to Madrid.

9/10My husband and I wanted to try Basque food while in Madrid so we headed to this place. The atmosphere is great - the restaurant is tucked away in a small side street off of Alcala. Our host was very friendly and they had menus in English (thank goodness - the Basque language looked nothing like Spanish to us). We tried some local beer and croquettes - delicious (but enormous portion size). My husband had the hamburger entree and I had the seafood lasagna. Overall it was good, but we weren't raving about it -- the lasagna gave me a little bit of heartburn, and the vegetables on my husband's plate were kind of bland. Overall, it was good dining experience, especially for a nice lunch. The price point wasn't too bad either. The atmosphere is very nice.
