7/10We booked a table at 22h30, when we got there we ordered the degustation menu. We were told it was not available because the kitchen was closing. However, when we booked the table, we were not informed we weren’t going to be able to eat what we wanted. We ended up eating only sushi. The fish was fresh, but the variety was poor, the cut was badly made (sashimi slices almost the size of a napkin and nigiris that crumbled when touched). It looked like a rushed job to get something to the table. The coffee at the end was very bitter. The staff was nice and attentive, but the end result on the plate was lacking.

8/10I had high expectations for the sushi, but the rice was not tasty. The taste of the sashimi was not the best. The vegetable gyozas were tasty but lacked stuffing. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was nice as well. We enjoyed the night, but we will be looking for other options in the future

About this restaurant
In the España square, in Barcelona, the Kurai restaurant is a place where you can see the excellent Japanese food, where also highlights its grill. The environment is modern, quite and dominated by the peace given a the wood. Features that, in short, increase the essential value of this unique experience. To begin with, the delight revolves around cockles in sake and citrus, homemade shrimp, vegetable pastries, a mixed salad of seaweed, shrimp, octopus and soy vinaigrette. The tartelette of tuna, sea urchin and tuna tataki with creamy avocado is a treat for your tastebuds, while on the grill the lobster and the beef. These last two are Kurai style.
