What a way to end an exhausting Design Week. This place was intimate and elegant without being stuffy. reflected in both the food and the service. Momo and Matteo both gave an elevated charm and expertise to every course and wine selection. The kitchen put out a magical tasting menu, innovative but not too intimidating. The tasting menu is a must, and this place is a must when in Milan. Thank you!!

Traditional food with a twist. The first courses of the degustation menu started rather average, but the turbot and everything afterwards was excellent. We had a great waiter but otherwise service was a bit stiff.

Did the tasting menu, let them know ahead of time that we needed to sub out one of the dishes. The sub was 2 small beef ribs for 3 people! They cut one in half to share and served the other whole, which is an unfair split! Brought it up, they had nothing else. Left still hungry. Overall, good service and ambience, but food was nothing special.

The food at L'Alchimia was fantastic. Our waiter Mono was lovely and very attentive. The shrimp carpaccio and tagliolini with lobster were stabd out dishes for us. Absolutely recommend to anyone in Milan.

Ambience was nice. Food was lacklustre. Nothing memorable and severely underseasoned. An extra pinch of salt or citrus would have gone a long way. Would've been great if the dessert moon theme tied into the other dishes too. Service was odd. They came to serve the first course and took away the bread as my partner was still taking a bite of it. They left the breadcrumbs on the table until the very end before brushing it off. We appreciated the happy birthday dessert efforts though! Weird that this has a michelin star. Would not come back. Definitely not worth 120 EUR, and would not have come back even if 20 EUR.

The whole experience at L'Alchimia was great! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and professional which made the dining experience seamless and very enjoyable. Moreover, the food was delicious and I was celebrate a wonderful birthday for my girlfriend, to which they provided a beautiful dessert plate.

With just one night in Milano we wanted a great dining experience and L’Alchimia surpassed our hopes The moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The tone of the restaurant is tastefully modern set into an old building complete with a cellar below. Service was smoothly professional and with some fare. Food wise we decided on the a la carte menu and we treated to a delightful array of Amuses All the courses were delivered with some theatre and flourish. The food itself introduced some new flavours to us as we could not have imagined what a kiwi fruit that has breed to taste like a tomato would be but it was a highlight of the meal Needless to say we enjoyed it all. The sommelier helped to match up wine by the glass perfectly and the manager and waiter guided us through the evening Part of the joy of the evening was talking to the other tables and seeing there delight also in the dining experience One night in Milano was well spent at L’Achimia

My family was visiting Italy and we were not pleased with the service here. Since we were the only Asian family in that restaurant, I felt like we were treated differently. I had told the server that the wine glass was a bit dusty and requested a new one. He brought back another very dusty wine glass. During the dinner, there was a course that was supposed to be cut tableside. My siblings were in the middle of a conversation when the server started setting up tableside. I was expecting him to politely get our attention before starting his spiel. However, he just started cutting the wellington and making these elaborate hand gestures and "wooshing" sounds as he was plating the dish. I believe he was trying to get our attention, but there is a more professional way to do that. After every "woosh", he would look over at his coworkers and both parties would snicker a bit - as if to say "wow look at these Americans not paying attention to the presentation". Laughing with your coworkers while tableside is absolutely unacceptable an an establishment like this. Lastly, when it came to the last course, we had asked to take the petits fours to-go. Th waitress looked confused at this request, sneered, then said "let me check..". I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe in Italy, to-go boxes are not as common. She returned with a sad little aluminum foil container with aluminum foil on top (no actual lid) and she roughly placed it on the table. We thought that maybe since they might not have to-go boxes, she had to create one in the back. We took our sad little container and headed towards the front door. However, on the way out, we saw a table of Italians getting ready to head out. I saw their server hand them a nice paper bag (with what I assume was a to-go box) and waved them goodbye with a smile. So why did my family not deserve a to-go box? Or a to-go bag?

Atmosphere was nice. We selected 5 dish surprise menu + wine package. Unfortunately, we did not get the idea of dishes. The food combinations were strange. Most of them were lacking of flavours. Especially the ravioli. Sad. Beef Wellington was good. Wine package was a big disappointment. Piedmonte has a huge selection of excellent wines, but they were not present. Why the restaurant served vermouth in the package?
