Set across a quiet square, L’Evadé immediately catches the eye with its large windows and understated elegance. Inside, the dining room feels sleek and contemporary: black lacquered tables paired with red chairs, wooden partitions subtly dividing the entrance from the main dining space, and exposed stonework contrasted with soft grey ceiling beams. The low lighting adds to the stylish, intimate atmosphere. There is no cocktail list, but the wine offering is strong and thoughtfully curated, presented conveniently via an iPad. The meal began with an amuse-bouche: a lightly fried brioche served with a broad bean dip. The brioche had a delicate crisp topping and a soft interior, pairing nicely with the fresh, green flavour of the beans. The Carpaccio de Saint-Jacques, vinaigrette orange sanguine, guacamole, aneth was a beautiful plate. Very thin slices of scallop were arranged with small dollops of guacamole, alongside carpaccios of cucumber and blood orange, finished with fresh dill. It w

The food tried very hard to be good but unfortunately expensive foods do not mean good foo. Caviar, foisgrah, Wellington are all nice, but none of it was exquisite. The only redeeming factor is the dessert. Service is slow - ambiance downstairs was not well at all. Very bright lighting. But kind people and I did go on Valentine’s Day for the set menu so of course it was busy.

Wow - such a fantastic restaurant. We booked last minute and we are so glad we did. The food was 10/10 and so was the service. Such a lovely place to go to in Paris. Highly recommend.
