OMG: Every time we dine there we are blown away by the flavors, the presentation .. the innovative plates that Koji comes up with. Took some friends for their first experience and all they have said since is BEST MEAL IN PARIS that they have enjoyed. Last time we had sea urchin risotto, this time langostine risotto. Sweet breads with stuffed morels .. The capellini caprese was so delightful. The scallops and white asparagus was so innovative with layers of crisps and carbonara sauce! As always his wine pairing perfectly matched the flavors of the meal..

Great meal all around. Creative and delicious

L’Inconnu is a marvelous restaurant. The chef has travelled the world and his cuisine reflects it. An extremely creative mix of Asian, Japanese and Italian influences await you. The meal was great. Service was impeccable. The restaurant is small — 6 tables max — and that feeds directly into the classy, romantic, date night vibe the place exudes. Bottom line: a winner.

Whenever they have lobster pasta, I always order it. It's my favorite pasta. This dish is delicate and light, so even a tired stomach can easily finish it. I recommend making a reservation midway through your trip.

We have eaten here for night eve. Menù was amazing and service amazing. Maybe a bit long but food was so good that it worth the time spent.

L'Inconnu is one of the restaurants I always visit when I come to Paris. This time, I had the course meal with pasta, and it was excellent as always. Everything is delicious, from the appetizer to the dessert, but the pasta is truly exquisite. I'm always amazed that I can eat such delicious pasta in Paris. This time, I experienced a blissful pasta dish with the luxurious aroma of white truffles for dinner. It was a delicate and impressive dish.

Food is average and pricy. They charge €220 per person for the Christmas Eve dinner. I expect some surprise but only the scallops is good. The foie gras and the wagyu(+€45) is so greasy. I don’t get the quality and price they offer. I guess food worths €100 and they take €120 for the tip.

The food at l’Inconnue is exquisite. The former Passage 53 sous chef expertly combines textures, temperatures, flavors, and ingredients to create truly outstanding cuisine. Hiroko’s impeccable service makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend this neighborhood gem.

italian food, good service

We loved everything about L’Inconnu: the refined dishes, rooted in Italian cuisine but cooked with Japanese precision and care, the friendly service, the beautiful dining room, cutlery and crockery and the classical music playing in the background. We hope to be back soon!

The dining room was small, well-spaced, and stylish. Service was perfect. The 3-course menu included complimentary amuse-bouche of octopus in a Japanese style jelled sauce served with cutlery from the freezer (very interesting addition, never saw before), mild mackerel with a ratatouille-esque sauce, Guinea hen with an enriched stock sauce and delicious greens, a fluffy cheese cake over cherry compote and very crispy cookie crumbs, all surrounded by a crackly thin pastry wrapper, and complimentary cookies. Our server was attentive, and promptly called a taxi for us that came right away. Couldn’t ask for more!

We loved this restaurant. It brought back memories from our times at Passage 53. Exquisite food, beautifully presented and the flavors and texture were quite balanced. Great find. We will go back for sure!
