Food was superb. Scarcely a false note-perhaps the clam dish was not up to the exceptional standard of the other courses. The Wagyu course was to die for! While the small minimalist space might seem to lack soul the cooking certainly did not.

The restaurant to be paid in advance, however the wine list on the web site has nothing to do with the real wine. Be aware of that!

Fantastic food, creative, light and beautifully presented. Amazing Burgundy wine list. One guest was allergic to gluten and the chef adapted the menu for him.

Each dish is well balanced and with a hint of Japanese influence.

We were very happy that the restaurant stayed open for our visit - the other patrons had cancelled, and we were the only diners present. The service and presentation were both excellent - the staff were friendly and did an excellent job. The restaurant surprised us with a small additional dessert for our occasion, which was extremely nice of them. However we found the food to be disappointing - two of the dishes (the eel and the john dory) did not mesh, and the flavours were conflicting and/or overpowering for what the chef was trying to achieve. We were unaware that sweetmeats were on the menu, and whilst this does not bother me, my partner does not eat offal at all. The wine was excellent, and - for the most part - paired well with the food. Overall, it was a little disappointing.

The restaurant is really small, only four tables, but it is quite nice. It is a bit difficult to find as the outside signage is not very large or clearly visible. Trust the GPS directions and you will be fine. The prix fixe only menu is rather interesting and quite creative. Presentation is nice and the service is outstanding. Very good wine menu.

The restaurant is located in an ancient building renovated to show off the timber painted white to go with the modern interior. The food is very light, with a lot of different greens and flowers. The amuse bouche starts with a cream of celery and pear, topped with roasted hazelnuts and melisse. The cuttlefish with green beans and asparagus, topped with a beautiful flower and herb salad with greek yogurt and hibiscus vinaigrette was a delight. In spite of the name, the food is modern French, not Japanese. The creativity and presentation are aspiring for more than one Michelin star.

A beautiful menu very subtle in tastes in a more old style French cuisine with a lot of bouillons

The only single issue I had was that the fish was overpowered by the sauce.
