La Merla is a beautiful place in a small, authentic Tuscan village. The atmosphere and the food are great. Well worth a visit!

What an amazing experience! Do yourself a favor and submit your culinary ego to the staff who will prepare a three or four course meal depending on how hungry you are. Comes with suggested wine pairing.

Given the price, it did not live up to expectations. We expected absolutely top notch quality, and while some meal selections did, the beef selection did not. The meat was not acceptable and was disappointing. To be fair, they did adjust our bill, but that should not have been required. Service and ambience were excellent.

The food was as exceptional as you’d hoped it would be. The actual room the restaurant is in, is quite odd, a slither of almost an off cut room with only 4 tables inside it. The lighting being spotlights, is also heating the guests up to boiling! Finally, the waiter was curt almost grumpy. The actual meal though was excellent

Beautiful setting, friendly service and amazing food. Some of our party said it was the best gnocchi they have ever and we have travelled Italy extensively over the last 15 years so that’s a lot of gnocchi to compare it with :) All of the food is locally sourced so super fresh, amazing flavours. Dessert trio comes highly recommended. We cannot wait to visit again during our next trip to Tuscany.

The place is amazing: newly renovated Tuscanian farm house it seats in the countryside facing the old village. The location is elegant yet familiar thanks to the staff: Margarita is the perfect host and will suggest food and wine. They had set a private table for a special dinner and we ate surrounded by flowers and with the sound of crickets in the background. If I thought a perfect romantic night I would had gone short of what we had. Grazie
