Excellent traditional food with a twist, the host is funny and welcoming, and likes entertaining his customers by sharing the restaurant's long history. Definitely worth a shot if you're in the area.

If you like an authentic Italian experience you'll love this place. Claudio the owner was a true treasure, very personable he entertained us with historical facts on La Piola. The food was fantastic the menu is basically whatever they fix for the day. We'll definitely be back. It's a highlight for the Modena area.
