6/10Expected much more. Good food does not compensate for poor, inattentive rushed service. Interior is as you’d expect from a traditional long standing establishment, oozing its past from every crevice, but with an ac cranked up, despite requesting it to be turned down, we ate our meal in a uncomfortable level of cold with a cool breeze all around. We asked to move to another table but were refused. The restaurant had space, the maitre d just couldn’t be arsed. Writing of whom, he failed to fully explain that the very tasty house dish came with rice, so our fries needn’t have been ordered. Few smiles from him and his team whose couldn’t be arsed attitude followed his example. Shame, could have been so much better. Not likely to try their London location and certainly not heading back here.

6.5/10The service was terrible. Had to wait almost 40 min to get waiter. He would run away from us every 30 seconds. He had shaking hands. And a nervous tick. They didn’t provide menu in English and he didn’t want to explain the menu. They brought all food at ones.

10/10Everything fantastic - food, service, ambience - … except the house wine (red)… was v. expensive and not at all a nice compliment to the food

6/10Signature chicken dish was a total disappointment. My friends eat a kind of big teabone they did not like it. Rice was delicious, onion soup was very good, profiterol wasn’t good. Service was good, waitress were good.

6/10We have been there with high expectations. The server was not good enough to tell us the right choice; there was no english menu so we were depentant on the server, yet we took the signature menu which was 85 eur per person however the starter vealpie was cold and not tasting good; our stomach hurt all the night. The secound course was ok. We believe the most delicious course was the creme brule. Since it is an expensive restaurant if we had been well assisted on the choice the experience would have been much better. An English menu is a must.

10/10We selected this restaurant from the Michelin guide because we wanted classic French cuisine. The staff were very helpful in making all of our selections. Many of the staff were fluent in English and seemed most happy to practice with us. The atmosphere was energetic and we had a lot of fun talking to the staff and trying different dishes.

10/10This restaurant is the epitome of excellent classic French food served in a beautiful dining room on silver cutlery and nice glasses. The service is impeccable, the food was excellent and the choice of wine is very large and of high quality. I highly recommend La Poule au pot .

8/10Excellent food and lovely service. The foie gras and the crème brûlée were amazing. Might not be for the faint hearted, so only go if you want traditional French cuisine.

2/10This was the worst we've had in years. What a disappointment when it comes to the quality of the service and the food. The recipe was probably really popular 400 years ago before they knew about spices like salt and how you shouldn't ever let Morell mushrooms broil to death in a weak cream sauce. I wanted to remove the star from the wall on my way out

4/10Really disappointed with this place . Totally over rated and expensive for what it is . Arrogant and inattentive manager. Chose the Pot au poule (supposedly thé signature dish) and a carafe of house wine . No deserts or entrees and still came to a whopping EU140, for a dish of chewy chicken that was no better than my late grandmothers chicken broth . Recommendation from the Michelin guide . Seriously guys , lift your game , recommending joints like this ?

10/10It was a fabulous lunch. Just the two of us. It was the best meal we had in Paris so far in our trip so we booked again for dinner the following night. Staff was welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious.
