This was my second visit, this time on a Saturday and busy. The food was as good as before. but yhey were short staffed and it showed. This made for a less than relaxed Saturday evening meal out.

In general very tasty and well made food, only a bit dry and shewy duck for my taste. Overall super cozy atmosphere, lovely servants and a really nice experience that I recommend!!

After a slightly slow start in terms of service, the team here really picked up and we had a very pleasurable evening, with some very good dishes. Definitely a very worthwhile choice of venue in the Bercy area

From the exterior ANCO just looks like a standard Brassiere, but the menu is quite different from that. My wife chose the vegetarian risotto which was beautifully presented and she loved the balance of flavours. I chose the “7hr braised beef cheek” which was soft and rich and delicious. It was served with heritage carrots a citrus gel and Parmesan & hazelnut crumb. All were very pleasant- my only criticism would be that the carrots went well with the beef. The gel went well with the carrots, but personally I wouldn’t pair a citrus gel with rich umami beef. But nevertheless I enjoyed the whole dish in its constituent parts. The 2 dishes were sufficient that we didn’t need dessert. We had a bottle of an excellent Cote de Rhône and the bill was Eu100 which I thought very reasonable for a meal that was approaching Michelin standards, but with nicely sized portions and without the pretentious of multiple tasting plates.
