There was a medical emergency in the kitchen. Ofcourse we understand that it very difficult for the staff. But no one told us this was happening. Therefore we weighted almost 1 hour after we got the maincourse before someone just even looked up en told us what was hapening. We ordered some dessert, after another 30 minutes the chef came to our table and THREW the plates on the table. The pannacotta was totally melted. We gave it back and payed after the chef jelled al us! We told the man behind the counter that we didn’t like the way we were treated. This because if someone just went to our table to tell us about the emergency, we would have only understandings and pay and leave; but now we didn’t know about it until it ruined our night out. We got 10% discount on the bill after complaining, but still had to pay almost €280. Thanks to the chef it was as a really bad experience. Sad, beceause maincourse was good!

We are sincerely sorry for what happened on this particular evening, but we are also deeply sorry for your lack of sensitivity toward a young member of our staff who suffered a serious health problem during her shift. Obviously, her colleagues rushed to her aid and subsequently attempted to continue serving the restaurant Guests even though she was still waiting for medical attention. Please, understand the feelings of the chef and other staff members as they work in this state of emergency and concern for their colleague. It was certainly our fault to have not made an official announcement about what was happening, but at the time, no one had the clarity to do so. Regarding the bill, in addition to applying a 10% discount to apologize for the wait, the aforementioned desserts were offered. At this point, a bill of €280 for six people, an average of €46 per person in a restaurant serving high-quality meat, does not seem excessive to us. Certain of your understanding, kind regards

We held a celebration dinner for 30 people in 2022 in Il Salotti in the main hotel. We have dined at La Taverna many times since and have always been happy. Orlando looked after us well. Unfortunately, our overall experience this time did not live up to our expectations.

An excellent restaurant where many locals eat. The pici pasta and BBQ meat dishes are especially recommended. Along with a wide selection of local wines. And don't forget to order the Panna Cotta. The service is great. We had an amazing meal!

My son and I first found La Patriarca one sunny afternoon in 2007, and it quickly became a family favorite. The location (3 minutes from the exit of the autostrada and across the road from the cinema) was super convenient, the staff always kind and generous, and the traditional southern Tuscan food, simply delicious. For 9 years, we were happy, regular diners there. I am so so happy to write that La Patriarca hasn't changed a bit! Walked in to find the wood-fired grill ablaze, the waitress remembered my face (even though I'm 7 years older!) and the steak and roasted potatoes still as yummy and satisfying as I last remembered. It isn't fancy (that's Il Salotto upstairs) but it is exactly what typical cooking of the Val di Chiana should taste like. Absolutely recommended !!!
