9/10My husband and I ate at Le Petit Sommelier on our second to last night in Paris and had a wonderful meal. We began by sharing an order of escargot as a starter and they were delicious. For my main plate I had the scallops with gnocchi and the scallops were cooked perfectly, not rubbery as some restaurants overcook them. My husband ordered the duck and enjoyed it immensely. Please note though that the restaurant gets very crowded and we saw people being turned away at the door if they didn’t have a reservation. Thank you Le Petit Sommelier for a lovely meal.

9.5/10This restaurant was recommended by a local on our visit to Paris. On our last night we gave it a try and weren’t disappointed. Outstanding wine list and large selection of French dishes. We sampled the Beef Bourguignon and the duck breast. Both were excellent.

4.5/10The food was correct. The service terribly inattentive and borderline rude. Cocktail served without any munchies. Had to ask for bread (no butter) to go with our appetizers (I had oysters!). Prices are too high for the lack of decorum. The manager is very abrupt. I chose this place on account of its proximity to the train station. I do not recommend this place as there are so many far better choices around.

3/10Early in the evening there were already several dishes unavailable, indicating poor planning on the restaurant’s part. The service was abhorrent. There was zero effort on the part of the restaurant and its staff to ensure or even facilitate a pleasant, satisfying dining experience. The slightly chilled Bordeaux was this establishment’s only redeeming quality but not even that would inspire me to return or recommend it, like, ever.

9/10we had an excellent time the food is very very good. I did discover that if you want your steak, medium rare, you should ask for medium because what day is rare not medium rare so just a bit of advice for those traveling to Paris at this restaurant to make sure when you order your steak medium, it will come, medium rare, other than that, it was a great time service excellent we return to this restaurant for sure

6.5/10This restaurant was a great find and just a block away from our rental apartment so we went there twice. The food was very good and service during our meal excellent. However, when paying the bill, which we were going to split equally between us, they quoted our shares but would not bring us the bill to review. When we asked to see it, the waiter refused and pointed to the menu board, telling us that we should know the total since the prices were listed. I asked again and he refused.

10/10A quintessential French brasserie with a great wine list, perfectly executed classic dishes and very skilled staff. The lively atmosphere here is second to none, this is the perfect place to come and forget about the surrounding world.

4/10Very chaotic service. Couldn’t get appertif or anyone’s attention to order our meal. Once done, would recommend the stew. There are only beef options at this restaurant with one fish item. Do not order the farm fresh cheese plate

9/10Very nice restaurant with good food and good wine. Food menu short, but caters for most, wine list extensive! However, even by Paris standards, be warned that even though the food we ate was really good, it is relatively expensive for what you get.

8.5/10The food and services were really good! Amazing food and amazing wine selection! Only thing that I could fault them with (not their failing to be honest) is the fact that the card machines were not working and only took French-based debit cards instead. But aside from that, spectacular!

9.5/10The "Petit Sommelier" remains one of the best places to eat well and drink even better in Paris. Pierre's wine list leaves nothing to be desired. French classics like boeuf bourguignon are just as recommended as the oysters, the cheese, the desserts. Reservations are recommended because there are also many walk-ins here near Gare de Montparnasse.

10/10The wine list is just stunning! With more than hundreds of wine by glass. Food is traditional french style but very tasty, we ordered oysters, shell fish as starters, then ordered Sweetbreads and wild duck for mains, all taste really good!

7/10The food and the wine were good. However, the service was not. We never got the wine list, had to borrow from the neighbouring table. After the food came we had to ask for the wine. At the end we also got the wrong bill.

10/10This was our second visit since we had been to France in 2914 and ate at Le Petit. HAD to have the boeuf bourguignon. It was as delicious as it gets. Can’t wait to if we get back to Paris again!!!

10/10Great restaurant, very authentic french with a massive wine list. Being from NZ and not french speaking, the wait staff were happy to speak to us in English. Perfect
