I took a good look at all of the restaurants in this plaza, and to my eyes, Le Progres was the authentic standout. The service and food did not disappoint. We were a group of 8 with lots of activity and the patient staff managed us beautifully. Food was fresh, high quality, and tasty tasty! We were there on a slow day. I would DO NOT unreasonably expect quick service if the place is full. Be realistic, kind, and you will be treated the same I am sure. (Speaking as someone who's traveled to Paris a lot, and has worked in food service.)

The restaurant is in a cute spot near the sacré couer at the bottom of the hill. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The food was great, however my meat was too rare for pregnancy. I did enjoy everything else so otherwise this likely wouldn’t have been an issue.

I was recommended to Le Progrès by my son 8 years ago. Partly due to COVID, I had not returned to Paris during the last 7 years. So, after climbing the steps of Le Sacré Coeur, I had worked up quite an appetite. I can finally attest that this place has the best bacon cheeseburger in Paris! This doesn’t even factor in the friendly neighborhood ambience, the laid back vibe, or the other tasty offerings on its menu. Come for the wonderful view from the Sacré Coeur, but if you are searching for good value, this place serves a great burger and delicious French comfort food at reasonable prices. C’est formidable!

My husband had such fond memories of taking our girls here on their first trip to Paris. This time they were old enough to order their own meal, and it even included wine (ugh, we are no longer so young.) so it was again memorable. The food it classic, the atmosphere is lively, the employees are kind and fun. Great experience!

My second time visiting at this restaurant, the first time when I was here for work in May. The starters of Oysters were not shucked particularly well. Lots of grit and broken shell ruined the experience. Our mains were utterly delicious. But we have had better service whilst in Paris. The guys are super friendly but not attentive.

Well, the special on the ardoise was not available and neither was one of their signature cocktails and a special cocktail on the ardoise. There was just too many things displayed as specials and not available. You cannot run a restaurant that way. Either have the items available or erase them off the board. Poor management. But what was there was good and the ambience is special. Just send somebody to wake up the manager or replace him.
