9/10Upon arrival we were immediately seated. The decor is almost English pub. The food was excellent. For starters we had caponata, bruschetta and arancinetti di mare, and for main tuna steaks and linguini ai ricci. We all raved about our dinner.

10/10It was a wonderful and special experience. The food was delicious. And the service - excellent. One of the best evenings in Catania we spent right here - at Maccaruni. Greetings to the staff, especially the Chef! :)

10/10We had a delightful, local- feeling meal at Maccaruni during Christmas week. There’s an old-school warmth that pervades the place, with professionals who clearly care about their diners. Highlights were a roasted spigola (fish), filleted table side with great olive oil, salt, and little else. The freshness of the fish came through.

8/10The food was good, especially the stuffed sardines and the pasta with shrimp and pistachio although the pasta was a bit too dense for my liking. My wife had the pasta with scampi and a tomato, chilli and garlic sauce, the sauce was nice but there wasn’t too much meat in the scampi that she had to extract herself. The restaurant did not honour the 20% discount promised when booking through The Fork although the prices were reasonable anyway.

10/10Nice restaurant a short distance away from hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. Extensive menu, especially seafood. Food was excellent. Special shout out to Vito for looking after us so well.

Restaurant is correct but Pasta don giovanni at 25€ is expensive for what you get...tiny shrimp and nothing else. Outside the place could be nice but too many cars and scooters pass close the street with noise and smell of Co2 is not enjoyable. Service is nice and fast that's the good point.
