I had one of the most appalling experiences at Marina Lagoon Restaurant. Despite having a confirmed reservation, we were refused a table, simply because hotel guests “had priority.” The covered outdoor deck was practically empty, yet we were told it was “unavailable” due to a few guests eating outside. The kicker? Just moments after we were turned away, a couple with noticeably lighter skin tones, who arrived after us, were seated in the exact area we were told was off-limits. The discrimination couldn’t have been more blatant. Staff were shockingly rude, unapologetic, and completely dismissive. Instead of honoring our reservation, they suggested we eat at the bar like second-class citizens. I live around the corner and have supported this place before, but after this horrific display of racism and zero accountability from the reception, I will never return, not for dinner, not for drinks, not even for a stay. Marina Lagoon has lost all my respect. Shame on you.
