A year ago, a friend and I visited Nuova Roma on a trip around Italy. This year, we made a stop in Bologna just to eat here again. The covered outdoor patio in summer is lovely. The abundance of local wines on the menu is unique. The food is spectacularly prepared and provides a few surprises. Be sure to try one of the tasting menus - the six course option is doable (mid-size portions) and worth the very reasonable price.

We went with the regional tasting menu. Excellent and authentic food and exceptional value. Clearly has a very good local reputation with most tables full on a Thursday evening. Booking essential and highly recommend this for good value high quality food near Bologna

Nuova Roma is the place to be if you like good food, nice and professional service in a place which keeps traditions and ambiance since more than 50 years. A familly runned business where you better book in advance as it has such success. I had a real good time there, helped by a young lady speaking English which was a plus for me not reading/speaking Italian. I recommend the place as Michelin does.
