9.5/10Delicate and delicious, beautifully prepared and warmly presented, food was exceptionally good at President restaurant. The host was welcoming and extremely friendly, and the sommelier chose a great set of wines for us. We chose to enjoy "the Trip", which was a wonderful selection of dishes. The highlight of the night, chef Paolo Gramaglia honored us with his kind presence at the table and his beautiful smile, asking us about our favorite dishes of the night, which made the experience even more memorable for us. Thank you President restaurant, we will remember you in our hearts.

10/10Our experience at President was unparalleled. The wait staff was so attentive and fantastic at explaining everything we tasted. He truly made the experience. The food was phenomenal. Every bite was something new. The wine pairing is a must, we got some really unique local wines as well as some unique international wines. This restaurant is a must visit.

10/10The perfect ending to a day-trip from Naples to Pompei: an elegant and superbly executed dinner with a most gracious hostess and attentive service. Among the courses on the longer set menu we especially liked the Duroc pork, the artichoke, the grouper, the 'uovo tranquillo' we added from the shorter menu, the fusilli. Every course was delicious. The wine list includes two pages of Fiano d'Avelllino, a personal favorite, but for once we chose the wine pairings. Among the pours were the best Falanghina I have ever had, and an excellent Aglianico. Leaving Pompei by the Amphitheatre gate, one is a five- minute walk from the restaurant; leaving the restaurant after dinner, one is five minutes from the Trenitalia train station for the trip back to Naples. A perfect outing, perfectly ended.

10/10Amazing food and service. Alessio, Leila and Chef Paolo hace warmly welcomed us even though it was a closed day. "The trip" menu took us around the world in an ecstasy of taste and flavour. Perfect from the aperitive to the dessert. Great advice for the wine too. A perfect moment. Thank you

10/10Presidente in Pompei offered a truly exceptional experience. The wine menu was impressively curated, reflecting the knowledgeable touch of the owner-sommelier. What truly stood out was how the menu and wine pairings seamlessly integrated with the rich history of Pompei, making each dish not just a culinary delight but a journey through time. Conveniently, the restaurant is walkable from the Pompei ruins, adding to its allure for those exploring the historic site. However, if you're staying in Naples, it's wise to arrange transportation back to the city in advance; we found that taxi service in Pompei can be limited, especially off-season. Even with a last-minute dietary restriction, both the husband and wife owners were incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our meal was perfect. Their genuine friendliness made us feel as if we were dining in a friend's home, yet the ambiance retained the elegance of fine dining. The restaurant masterfully blends historical reverence with contemporary gastronomy, making it a must-visit for those seeking a memorable dining experience.

10/10Excellent little resteraunt! Staff were very generous and attentive making sure every detail is taken care off. Food was perfect, a mix of classic and new foods and loved the twist of different cuisines. Definitely worth a visit if you can!

10/10The food was impeccable but the service was indescribably heart-warming and personalized. Laila took the time to get to know me and my stay in Italy. She has so many wonderful recommendations that wasn't just limited to the restaurant to ensure I enjoy all that this region of Italy has to offer. You can taste in both food and atmosphere the love and passion behind each dish. If you ever find yourself in Pompeii, don't miss out on this memorable experience.

10/10What a wonderful evening we had at this fabulous restaurant. We had ‘The Trip’ tasting menu and every dish was a delight. The whole tables favourite was the pork, which was melt in the mouth delicious. Laila was extremely welcoming from the moment we arrived and leaving the wine choices in her hands was a very good decision. It was a treat to have Chef Paolo come to our table at the end of the meal, even going above and beyond to recommend, then phone and book a restaurant for us for the next day. What a lovely husband and wife Team. If you are ever in this area this is a restaurant not to miss out on. Truly outstanding.

9.5/10This was my first trip to Italy and one of my most important goals was to eat at a Michelin starred restaurant for the first time. Almost everything on the tasting menu was something that tasted completely unique from anything I’ve had before. The things that were not incredibly unique- the bread, Gyoza, and lemon sorbet had very straightforward tastes but were absolutely as good as these simple tastes could be. The lemon sorbet was one of the three best things I’ve ever had and not to be dramatic but I will probably spend the rest of my life trying to find anything that brings lemons to their full potential like that again. The service was second to none- Laila offered us a ride in her own car when we were unable to get a taxi back to our hotel. The chef, Paulo, greeted every table with an infectious joy and was clearly very proud of his food. The place nice but if you’re looking for a place with some spectacular view or impressive decor it’s not for you. But the humble little space is very personal and brings full attention to the great food and people behind it which is what, in my opinion, dining should always be about.

10/10We will treasure this experience for the rest of our lives. We ordered the tasting menu "The Trip", which took inspiration from cuisines around the world and infused them with classic Campanian flavors. Every dish was a work of art, clearly crafted with great skill and care. They ranged from stunningly creative to transcendentally delicious. Our favorites were the smoked artichoke with anchovies & buffalo and the black pig with broccoli sauce. Beyond the wonderful food itself, the service elevated our experience even further. Laila was warm, perceptive, and knowledgable. Her explanations of the dishes were enchanting and informative. And it was an honor to meet Chef Paolo at the end to briefly discuss our favorite dishes. We absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Naples metropolitan area.

10/10We have been in Italy for 3 weeks so far, and this was easily our best meal so far. The wine selections were incredible and the service was impeccable. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. They absolutely deserve the Michelin star.

9.5/10Great food. My favorite was the artichoke to the sea with buffalo meat. This was one of the best wine pairings with food I have had in a 1 star. The sorbet with dessert wine was amazing… didn’t want it to end. I would go.back and do it all over again!

9.5/10President is a hidden gem worthy of its star. From the moment we stepped in to its crisp, clean, white interior, we were made to feel welcome. We opted for the full ‘Trip’ with accompanying wines. Our wine glasses were never left empty and the table never left dirty (there is lots of bread type things) Really special mention to the smoked artichoke, easily one of the tastiest things I’ve ever eaten. Great little restaurant with fantastic food and great wine choices One small blot was the music they had on a loop which consisted of about 5/6 songs. Not sure if that was supposed to be that way or if it was stuck on a loop but after a few hours of eating it did begin to slightly irritate. It definitely didn’t detract from the food however and would definitely return if ever passing through

10/10Marvelous experience. The food was adventurous and fascinating, the service was nothing less than perfect, and Laila was the perfect host explaining the point of every dish and its connection to the place. Very Pompeii oriented. I have to note that our daughter is vegetarian and our son a picky eater, and they accommodated them perfectly with changes to the tasting menu. We were a group of six and had a beautiful time. Very highly recommended.

Paolo Gramaglia è uomo e professionista di grande esperienza, maturata in giro per il mondo. Dopo gli studi matematici, che gli hanno conferito un senso di precisione mentale importante, si è formata in lui l'idea che “da grande” voleva fare il cuoco. Nel 2006 sale al timone del President, raggiungendo in poco tempo grandi traguardi, primo tra tutti, la stella Michelin. L'introduzione al suo menù, "Il successo della gastronomia è nella tradizione, basta solo saperla interpretare senza nostalgia", sintetizza appieno l'idea di cucina dello chef Gramaglia, che diventa arte attraverso doti personali, creatività, ispirazione e sapienza. Ogni anno la "filosofia Gramaglia" si arricchisce di un nuovo filo conduttore, come, ad esempio, "sottrarre per moltiplicare". Cosa significa? Sottrazione degli elementi che, al contempo, eleva la sensazione di appagamento per l'ospite. In sala hanno seguito lo chef sottraendo coperti, per aumentare la maniacale cura del dettaglio nel servizio; in cucina "lo hanno dovuto seguire", sottraendo elementi per esaltare le sensazioni di piacere dei piatti.
