8.5/10A bit out of the way if you don't live in Oost but worth the trip, especially in the nice weather when you can sit outside on the water. Really good food and the nicest helpful young men work serving the food. Very good grilled meat and fresh salads. lamb with okra in tomato sauce is delicious. and with the fork discount you can't go wrong.

5.5/10To be honest, when we arrived they told us the discount was no longer available as it had already been given to someone else — we almost left. Then, after asking us to wait a minute, they seated us at the worst table, which wasn’t even clean. Anyway, the food itself was just okay

6/10I think it’s a nice restaurant but the service isn’t it , the restaurant was not so busy they had better tables for us but they insisted and gave us table in the middel , the food was good but a lil overpriced for the quantity and the plates were broken and cutlery’s was dirty. Overall it’s ok for one time but not for second time.

I live in the United States, but I will always stop at SHAM Oost when I'm in Amsterdam. The food is excellent, with generous portions. Service is wonderful and the location is unique and relaxing. I loved it so much the first time I came to Amsterdam that I had to go back on this trip and it didn't disappoint. It's my favorite restaurant in the city.
