7/10Great service and amazing ambiance of little tavern in Lisbon, unfortunately over the years became more touristy. The portion of Caldo Verde soup shrinked dramatically compare to what it was 4 years ago and unfortunately quality of it changed as well. Pork cheeks were great. At the end as residents of Lisbon we will not return to this place again. One of the signs it became oriented to tourists and not locals as added option for tips on point of sale machine which is unseen and definitely not expected any where in Portugal.

9.5/10We had a great dinner at Taberna da Baixa. The food was excellent and the staff were so helpful and lovely. Clams to start for me then we both had slow cooked black pork with smashed potatoes which was delicious. Great wine too plus a complimentary glass of Ginja. Must get some of that! The restaurant is quite small so it would probably be a good idea to book ahead. A lovely evening.

10/10The restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and after checking out the reviews - booked online (recommend booking as it was busy). It's a cosy restaurant with good ambience. Our waiter did speak English and highlighted some options. We had the pork cheeks and sirloin. Cooked beautifully, and both meats melted away. The restaurant did take note it was my husband's birthday and they brought out a complimentary dessert and wished him well. All in all a very pleasant evening.

To start I had the cod and sprouts gratin which was a hearty dish. For my main course I had an excellent sirloin steak topped with a delicious sauce. To finish I had a the poached pear and ice cream which was a great way to finish my meal with a dish that was full of flavour and light.

10/10We have been to this Portuguese restaurant twice and loved each visit. Small quaint ambiance with friendly service and great recommendations/descriptions. The risotto and octopus were delectable! We finished our meal with the port soaked pear and ice cream and a complimentary ginjinha!

10/10The staff were so friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! There was a great atmosphere of everyone enjoying themselves. Make sure you book so you don't miss out! We will definitely be coming back when we are next in Lisbon. Obrigado!

9/10Excellent and friendly service. A great buzz in the restaurant. We were with a few other tables on diners in the small mezz floor looking over ground floor of restaurant. Food was very good although I found my steak bebab a bit tougher than I would have expected. Others in ground all enjoyed their fish dishes. Would definitely visit again.

10/10A truly authentic portuguese experience. 3rd visit to this over the past couple of years and it remains a consistently wonderful. I highly recommend to anyone looking for the taste of Portugal in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
