6.5/10We ordered 2 starters and 2 main dishes along with drinks. While we were still eating the starters, both mains arrived on our table. So within 15 minutes of sitting, we had all our food. It's an upscale Chinese restaurant, so we expected a leisurely service. I don't have to tell you that a nice restaurant should never serve the main course before the starters are finished and cleared. The food was excellent so we were satisfied with our meal. However when it came time to pay the bill, the waiter told us the credit card machine was not available (broken?). We were not warned when reserving or upon arrival, but I don't believe that an expensive restaurant is not able to take cards. For these reasons I decided to write a review to share our experience and say that we are unlikely to return.

We regret that your experience fell short of expectations, we work every day to improve our service. Our restaurant accepts cards, if we weren't accepting them it was because there were either problems with the machine or more likely problems with the ATM network since we have several machines and if one breaks down we can use another.

7/10Impressive Resturant and attentive staff except they forgot a number of items we ordered and brought the rice with the starters. The starters were served quickly which was a little off putting but was fresh, the dumplings were lukewarm though. The main courses were large but still a little overpriced, have happily paid higher but for white glove service.

6/10+1I was looking foward to try this restaurant for a while now, and i’m glad that i did, but just for the food. The food was delicious, good portions, and very quick to be delivered wich was surprising. Clean, cozy and charming ambiance. Asked for a few starters to try and an entree with rice, everything to share between 2. Everything had incredible flavor but the fried rice was kind of bland, wouldn’t order it again. Entrees prices averaging around 20-40€ but for me very much worth it. As of the service, didn’t like it at all, the first waitress (íris of isis) took the order without even looking at us, didn’t smile, i think she didn’t even speak, it was like a robot, even when she delivered the food…not good. The second waitress (francisca i think) was what it seemed to be mocking us for some reason, maybe because we were wearing trainers and she thought we didn’t have money? It was wierd. Over all i would definitely come back for the food, and i will come back for the duck!

8/10We have previously enjoyed dining at The Old House numerous times, all of which have been consistently outstanding. Until now. The food was excellent, yet the service was appalling. Our waiter asked my husband what spice level he would prefer for his curry, to which he responded, “three”. The waiter said that was too much and he would prefer to give him two stars. My husband knew he wanted a spicier dish, based on our previous experiences at this venue, yet he wanted to be respectful. When the meal arrived, the curry had zero spice and the waiter delivered two servings! We were so confused, and he angrily declared that my husband ordered two entrées, after he convinced him to not order three, which was definitely not the case. The entire evening was a disappointment thereafter and the waitstaff was disengaged. We will no longer recommend this former favorite and will sadly not return.

7.5/10We had a pleasant time but I feel it is a bit overrated. Food is good but it’s overpriced (we had a 50% discount so it was ok but I wouldn’t pay the full price for what it was). Service was ok but could be better, it took a long time before someone came to our table to order (hard to catch their attention to call them).

6.5/10the food is very good but the service leaves a lot to be desired - the two of us ordered two main courses to share and a dish of fried rice - one of the dishes arrived at the table and then we had to wait 15 mins tor the other two dishes to arrive by which time the first dish was cold - they need more waiters particularly when the restaurant is full inside and outside .

7.5/10Always excellent food Always Confused service. . Nice but seemingly without a system Bathroom area confusing and not well lit with broken doors. . 1 menus delivered for 5 people and then the confusion of the two menus. Inside very attractive outside not.

7.5/10. Very warm welcome and service overall . Good choice of courses . Appreciated the 1st floor small cabin for privacy On the neg side, far too much sauce on some dishes, losing the flavour and texture of main ingredient
