A poor evening. On arrival the waiter confirmed that one of the party had a severe nut allergy and allergens were listed on the menu. We felt safe. Sadly, half way through the meal, tacos which did not list peanuts actually contained peanuts. After one bite I spit out the remainder. Nearly 24 hours later my eyes are still burning, my stomach aches but the rash has declined. I felt very sick at the table, but tried to make light of it so as not to ruin what should have been a beautiful evening for my wife and I with a good friend. Though apologies were received, we were disappointed that little was offered by way of an apology. No suggestion of a glass of wine, coffee, etc, merely not charging us for the 8 euro toxic taco. An 8 euro apology in a bill of 180 euros does not reflect the considerable discomfort and disruption. Of course mistakes happen, but fair compensation should follow. BTW the price guide on fork is far too low. It is expensive and a bit pretentious.

Simple booking via Fork App. Nice area of Rotterdam’s Old Harbour. Sunny, quiet terrace outside with the iconic Cube Houses in background We had 3 sharing dishes between the 2 of us, tasty but small portions and quite pricey for what they were Waiter attentive
