10/10I always love a good shared dining concept and Umami Rotterdam hits the spot! The dishes were delightful and beautifully presented. We got the 4 course menu with recommended tea paring, this is a great alternative with amazing quality tea. We enjoyed the Friendly and helpfull staff and they even gave my daughter some coloring pages. Cozy ambiance for a busy Friday night, we will be back =)

One of the best meals we have ever had!! We had 3 courses with 4 dishes (that we chose) in each course. Flavours amazing from first taste to last-a journey of discovery and surprise. We also chose a great Chardonnay which accompanied it all so well. Don’t think-book.

10/10I went there with my daughter. It was a delicious experience!! The tea selection accompanying the dishes was just amazing! The dishes were excellent and a pleasure for the eyes. Very nice welcome as well from the whole staff. This will definitely be one of our dinner favorite places in the future !

10/10The moment we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted with a warm smile and very art deco with. Modernism setting and with a busy service we were given options on where to sit. The waiter went through the menu options and his personal recommendations. When the food arrived the Attention to detail on the food is amazing, flavoursome and very filling with the tapas style of servings. They also give you the option to mix and match on the set menu which is a bonus.

6.5/10The food was excellent – creative dishes with exciting flavors. We'd gladly return for the food alone. The service, however, lacked warmth and attentiveness, which slightly took away from the overall experience.

10/10The food concept is great for sharing & that allows one to try various dishes. We ordered the social menu just to get that exposure & we were not disappointed at all. The service was quick & super friendly. Really a great experience.

5.5/10Maybe it was too high expectations but the food was not very exciting. Flavor palette was rather muted (nothing really stood out from the bib gourmand menu) and for a place called umami that seemed lacking. Our main server was wonderful and attentive. The other person who brought the dishes seemed upset and was not rude but also just did not seem to care. The papaya ice cream was nice. The soft shell crab was well received but nothing I have not had before. Overall not bad but not enough to have me return.

10/10Delicious food, excellent, friendly and knowledgable wait staff, great ambience. Went with a family of 4 with a 15 year old and a 12 year old - they ate it all!!!

7.5/10Good service and quick. Good variation of dishes. However, the dishes are not very 'Asian' authentic, having the typical Dutch touch of too much fatty sauces. But that is according to my tase of course ....

9/10We really liked the food at Umami, which was reasonably priced for the quality. The dishes were original and a nice fusion between flavours from differnt countries. The service was certainly not bad, but also certainly not as good as the food quality. The waiters were not too knowledgeable about what was being served. When making a mistake, they were very happy and quick to fix it, and kept us happy. Definitely recommendable if you are looking for something different and can appreciate quality food.
