Been coming to this restaurant for years already. The location is amazing, the place itself looks very nice and attached to a posh eco grocery store, there’s a massive lush garden terrace that’s lovely in the summer.. but.. For over the 10 years of visits the service is consistently shockingly terrible, despite the staff changing regularly. They seat you only to ignore you for 30 min. Takes the order from the table next to you despite them arriving later than you and then don’t even look up when going back inside instead of at the very least acknowledge they know you’re waiting and they’ll be right back, give you the menu and then let you wait for a long time to even ask if you want anything to drink while you’re deciding on food, don’t bring cutlery (or salt/pepper) when the food actually arrives, waiter not knowing what’s out or not.. I could go on and on.. So basically: Beautiful place, pretty great food and if you can handle the aggravating experience of the staff, do go!

Very nice and cosy restaurant with a lovely garden in the back. Highly recommended for families with children - you can enjoy your drink/ food in peace, while they are playing at the outside playground or the one inside. The food was delicious as well - we tried baked octopus with white asparagus and truffle risotto.

We’ve been going to Aan Tafel for almost 2 years now. The food has always been really good (particularly the vegetarian burger), but the service has finally caught up with it. We were a table of 6 and for the first time we ordered and finished our main meal within an hour. Before it could take up to 2 hours so we always planned to have a light snack before going. The food was as delicious as always and we were very pleased with the improved service delivery time. Our server was also great! Look forward to going back, as always.

Very pleasant place with good service and excellent food...! Like eating in your own garden, very good ambiance. The fish plate is amazing....and the cheeses...Hmmmm

I love this place and been coming for years now! The garden terrace is beautiful and the food is good, even great at times. But one thing that consistently annoys me is the terrible service. Expect to sit for 10 minutes watching the waitresses chat to each other or hang around while you wait for someone to remember to give you a menu, and they won’t be telling you about the specials so you’ll have to figure those out for yourself. And this is normal and have always been like this and doubt it will change. I obviously keep coming, so the rest is worth it. But if you like me worked in the industry and know how good service can be when you feel seen, prepare to be bothered!

Very nice food and excellent service, the location is great, i highly recommend that restaurant, price is fare, it's a great food experience, I'm going back again for sure.
