We dined here two nights ago. The food was fantastic but our experience was not good because we were outdoors. We decided to come back tonight, requesting a table indoors. We are so glad we did. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT, FROM BEGINNING TO END. We had a nice table in the main dining room. Service was perfect. Food was delicious. We had a thin crust diavola pizza, pasta with guanciale and tender braised oxtails accompanied by a pleasant Cabernet blend from Tuscany. Complimentary limoncello from the staff to finish. No room for dessert…next time…and, we can’t wait. Thank you, AI Cocci, for a wonderful evening.

Food was excellent. We had a fried artichoke, a guanciale with fresh pasta, grilled lamb chops and osso buco. Each dish was well prepared and seasoned. Service was friendly but a bit uneven. The wine did not arrive until after our first course was cleared. The side dish we ordered never arrived. The ambiance was disappointing as we were seated outdoors with many smokers. We did request a table along a wall or window when we made our reservations.. I suppose we need to be more specific next time and request a table indoors. It almost ruined our evening, but the food was truly delicious.

We travel to Rome often and this was our first time at Ai Cocci. It was superb. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious with a wonderful wine selection. And of course an exceptional grappa to finish the night. We will definitely return on our next visit to Rome. And you can make reservations in advance which is a big plus in Rome.
