On our second day in Rome we decided to visit the "keyhole on aventine hill" and then booked a table at Osteria San Giorgio as it was close. Very nice atmosphere and pretty decent service. Our server forgot to bring us bread and was late with pur parmesan for the pasta dishes. My carbonara wasn't anything special, but my dad tortellini with prosciutto were great. for desert wr had truffle ice cream. Definitely worth a visit!

Food is mostly good (the filetto al pepe verde was excellent), the service is attentive and committed to offer the guest a pleasant dining experience. One issue (the carciofo alla romana was inedible) was resolved promptly and professionally (the plate was taken back and not charged; the guest had the option of choosing another dish). A discount of (at least) 20% brings the prices into a more acceptable range. Recommended. Give it a try.

went there in june 25 (conveniently forgot my 50% FORK discount)- assumed honest mistake, went back jun 28, argued over 20% FORK discount ( owner who could speak english fluently seemed to forget how to speak english ) ....pretty disappointing ...food good, service ok, business ethics seem to be a problem

At arrival we mentioned we had booked through The Fork. We were shown to our table by a waiter who seemed unfriendly. We order a starter and main and mentioned again we had booked via The Fork and should receive a 50% discount. I enjoyed both my choices but my daughter didn't - personal taste. All cooked well. Our waiter let our experience down. When the bill arrived they had charged us full price. We did eventually pay the discounted amount.

This is a lovely restaurant in Testaccio with great ambience, it is bright and clean, and has a courteous owner and staff. A shout-out to the kitchen crew force the excellent and abundant meal prepared!

We were a group of 6 and were left in a corner with no attention from the staff. We spent 30 minutes seated with no drinks or bread, waiting for our orders to be taken. When the food eventually arrived, it was of good quality but not adequately cooked (clucky pasta, blend sauces). We were probably unlucky on the evening but we felt the need to leave after more than 2 hours, which is how long it took us to get through a simple appetiser and pasta dish.
