Having made a very last minute reservation for one, I arrived at the restaurant at 19:00 on Friday 28 July and was shown a table at the rear, from where you could see the chef at work. I was the first to arrive, but after some 30 minutes the restaurant, which is small and cosy, was already more than half full and when I had finished my main course, every table was taken.. The food was delicious. As a starter I had pieces of salmon fillet with spinach and spiced cream, nicely presented, and a coconut naan, both very tasty. My main was a vegetarian dish with aubergine, which, although it did not look as attractive as the starter, was also very good. It was served with basmati rice. For dessert I chose the "thé gourmand", consisting of a cup of any tea from the menu, accompanied by four mini-desserts (for those who find it hard to choose). I cannot speak for any of the drinks on the menu: as it was a hot day, I ordered a large bottle of sparkling water to go with the food. I was very happy with my choice of restaurant and will certainly book a table at this place again, next time I visit Lille. One more thing: when I left, people were (still) waiting outside the restaurant to get a table. Always a good sign.
