9.5/10We went there for gratin and the two variations we chose were both great. Prices so reasonable, we sprung for two glasses of Sancerre. Our reservations were honored immediately though the very small space was fairly full. Friendly, professional wait staff. Would go back again.

4/10The place was too small, and the tables were very close together. The food was expensive considering what they offered. We started with a platter of cheeses, which was the only dish I truly enjoyed. The second plate was a salad with toasted bread, tomatoes, and prosciutto, but it wasn’t anything particularly special. The standout dish was the gratin with salmon, but I couldn’t eat it because it had too much cream and cheese; it was far too heavy for my taste. However, I must mention that most diners seemed to come specifically for this dish, and they all left their plates empty.

9/10We were so happy that we booked our lunch visit in advance; when we arrived, the tiny place was completely full and other potential patrons were being turned away. We had to wait about 10 minutes before a table opened up for us, which was fine. The convenience to Notre Dame and the Saint-Michel area was perfect, but just enough away from the more touristy restaurants that we felt as though we'd found something the locals were enjoying. The specialty is a potato gratin dish that is given various treatments with or without the addition of meat. There are salads, too, but on a cold day we were ready for something hot and satisfying. It's surprising to see so many dishes come out of a tiny kitchen in a timely manner! There's a small but pretty good wine selection, too.

10/10We were warmly welcomed and accommodated, with our bags and coats stored for us so we had more room at our table. The gratins and salads were amazing--simple and delicious. Great wine choices to accompany the meal. As we left, we listened to the bells of Notre Dame ringing. A perfect Parisian evening.

4.5/10Overrated bistro. Food of kinds you get anywhere -- toasties, cheese with veg, etc. Good situation by the river but no more than basic decor. Very few locals eating there.
