10/10Perfect dinner! The carrot velouté was a perfect harmony of different ingredients. Simple and very delicious. Pici with ragu was also very nice, a bit too salty for me. The tagliata literally melted in the mouth. Excellent wine selection. The service is top notch!

10/10+2Second visit, equally wonderful. Set in Fiesole centre with tables outside, a very nice experience. Food was very good and just like the pictures shown on other posts, with ingredients locally sourced right down to the honey. Stuffed peppers were not what we expected and a pleasant surprise with tastes of Thailand. Cold tomato soup again a surprise, it's shrimp with diced fruits in a little tomato juice, very refreshing. Pork medallions soft and gently cooked with a nice honey sauce was delicate flavours. Bit disappointed with the steak not peppery as advertised, but cooked nice wirh a good char, potatoes were great. The agnolotti was a beautiful, yellow tomato sauce and stuffed with tuscan sausage, a must. The most unexpected carrot cake, a delight. Staff very nice, very helpful, seats a bit uncomfortable, on 2nd visit enjoyed comfy seats inside.

10/10Is this the best restaurant in Florence? Certainly the best in Fiesole and surely most of Florence. Though the menu is not large, every item we had amongst 3 people was wonderful. The flavours and combinations can be intense, yet often subtle as well, and all delightfully pleasing. The dishes are unique to this restaurant and it is so well worth the short journey to Fiesole. The staff are very invested in good service and communication. They are welcoming and friendly. They explain the menu with care and pride (in English if necessary) and are known for their use of local ingredients and also extensive, exclusive local wines. If the weather is good enough, sitting outside with the view to Florence available is one of those moments to savour deeply. However the restaurant inside is also cosy and pleasant with a sleek modern air.

9.5/10A really lovely restaurant. Food was excellent, especially the tagiatelle with truffles. Only snag was they could not find our reservation. House super tuscan was excellent. Chocolate dessert is the way to go.

10/10The restaurant was in the main square! We ate outside on a beautiful cool night. Sara and her husband were gracious hosts. We enjoyed the cheese board and the salami and artichokes as our antipasti. Our primi of Boar Ragu, Ravioli and barley risotto was flavorful and creative. Secondi was sliced duck and braised fennel and burger with caramelized red onions and potatoes so tender and seasoned perfectly! It was a wonderful meal. Dessert pane cotta was so creamy . We lived that everything was sourced locally. We highlight recommend it.

10/10What a pleasant surprise! This has to be the best restaurant in Fiesole! Had a great lunch - excellent menu recommendations from my server. I would come back to Fiesole just to have lunch again at Bistrot al 5!

8.5/10The pasta Tonnarelli with a very tasty cream and crespy agretti but the clam was not very fresh. The rana pescatrice itself did not have much taste. Over all, it's creative and nicely presented. The service was very cordially.

9.5/10Went to this restaurant in 2020, and was amazed by the quality of food and service. All confirmed! The burger is beyond delicious, you can actually feel the quality of all ingredients and craft, including the home-made mayo - excellent!). Cheese tasting and dessert very good as well. Clearly, all this, location included, does not come on the cheap side - but if go to Fiesole, you don't get that anyways... Absolutely recommendable.
