8.5/10For us, a mixed experience. The room is lovely, elegant, understated. A nice change in Genoa. The staff were excellent: allowed us to choose our table, very welcoming. We enjoyed a Fork discount: shared a bottle of wine, bottle of sparkling water, a chicken caesar salad as a starter, pesto pasta and then the cod. The Caesar was a little unexpected: head lettuce not Romaine? But the chicken was freshly grilled, delicious, the shaved Parmesan good quality, the dressing light (thank you!) A generous portion: more than enough for two to split. The pesto pasta: the pasta is a Genoevese traditional type, fresh. The pesto was good (as it should be here!). The let down was the cod. The menu indicated it was caught on the Ligurian coast which is why we chose it. Sadly, although presentation was elegant, didn't expect it to be cold and so lacking in flavor. Next time: the braised beef in wine sauce! (Someone at another table had the beef: looked excellent!)

"CINQUE STELLE - Nel cuore di Genova, a pochi passi dal porto, si trova il Ristorante Blu Lounge By Melia'. Il locale si trova al piano terra dell'omonimo albergo a cinque stelle. Un ambiente rilassante, caratterizzato da un design dallo stile contemporaneo. STORICITA' - La struttura è posta nello storico edifico dell'Ilva, disegnato nel 1929. E' un punto di ritrovo per gli ospiti dell'hotel, ma anche per i clienti esterni. MENU' - La cucina spazia da quella tipica italiana a quella tradizionale regionale. Un must del posto è l'happy hour. Le proposte sono molto varie, ai classici snack si affiancano alcune specialità spagnole, come Jamon Serrano e paella. I piatti possono essere accompagnati da bevande analcoliche, vini, birre e cocktail. "
