Nice ambient. Food however was below expectations. The filet mignon was brought to us completely overcooked and minimal portion. We had to ask twice to correct it. Food portions in general were quite small and not compensated by high quality or taste…

Our 2 experiences of the Brasserie K were 1) Room Service (evening) and 2) lunch in the restaurant. The Room Service menu was difficult to find but we finally found in on the internet. We ordered. Our order was accepted. The food delivered was completely different to what we had ordered! We phoned them again and were told "ah, the published menu is for next week!" I don't understand why we couldn't be told this at the time of ordering. My salad of many vegetables/fruit, arrived as a very small side salad! Room Service said they were sorry and would replace it with a Salade Niçoise. So, my Vegetarian Asian Salad ended up with completely different ingredients including anchovies and tinned tuna! At least they replaced it with something... The other meal we ordered a "croute feuillétée" is more commonly known as a vol-au-vent - which was average, nothing special. For the price paid, including a hefty room service charge, we were quite disappointed. The next day we had reserved a table for lunch. We were the first customers to be seated and so received our food quite quickly. The best thing I can say is that the food was piping hot. The single filet of Bream (Dorade) was quite small and would have been better with crispy skin. It was placed on a bed of vegetables, which were quite "mushy" and tasted a lot like ratatouille - although with slightly different ingredients. The other meal was Chicken Cordon Bleu... or at least it was supposed to be! Once again, the kitchen ignored our order and gave us what they wanted : chicken breast, which was overcooked so quite dry. No melted cheese or ham anywhere to be found! This was served on potatoes, which made also made them a bit "mushy". The quality of the ingredients was acceptable but would have been more palatable if everything was not piled up in dishes and instead arranged on real plates, so that, for example, vegetables/potatoes wouldn't be served as a mush under a pile of other things. Would I recommend this restaurant? Not an easy answer. I think, on balance, I would but with the understanding that, to the kitchen staff, presentation seems to be more important than taste and they don't always serve you what you ordered. If you like surprises, then this is the place for you. Slightly overpriced for the quality received - even with the 20% discount booked through "The Fork".

Staff was very helpful, food was great and service was fast. We were a large group with children and the children enjoyed the child menu very much. The restaurant is located within a hotel.

Restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the Holiday Inn hotel. Service was good, but food was average - some items were excellent, some were not at all and we couldn't eat them. Overall - average.
