we were surprised that the entrée arrived together with the pizza :-( and our drinks (sangria) only arrived after the food... the pizza is good but it will great if there's option of the pizza base...but the ambience of the restaurant is good.

As a Lisbon local who has visited dozens of Italian restaurants in the city, I saw the great reviews and was excited to visit BuonaPizza. It ended up being one of the worst meals I’ve had in recent memory. The staff were very pleasant but the food left much to be desired. The garlic bread was acceptable but the pizza was not good. We had the Diavola and Bolognese pizzas and they were soggy, falling apart and didn’t taste great. We couldn’t finish them. The ambience and decor are okay. The dirty green walls and the plastic tables with a fake wood vinyl give off a cheap vibe. If the food were to be tasty I would have no problem with the price but everything considered, I cannot recommend. There are much better options around. I really hope we just visited on an off day and that the others end up having a positive experience. The friendly staff unfortunately couldn’t make up for the lacklustre food. I will not be going back.

Great staff, helpful, prompt and they keep checking on you. The all meat pizza I ordered was the best I've had in Lisbon so far. I asked them to make it half tomato and half pesto and it was super delicious. The sangria was amazing as well. Great experience overall. I would love to visit again. Thanks for The Fork for having this restaurant on their app.
