We have been here twice during a five day stay in Montreux. Contemplating returning. It’s a 15 min. walk from the train station, slightly uphill but not rigorous. Today my husband had the lunch special of the day which was a green salad with avocado, fresh fries, and roast beef with bread & garlic sauce. I had goulash. Lovely family-run establishment and a great value.

This little restaurant is out of the way in a quiet area. There seemed to be a few regulars which always is a good sign. We had a set menu of a salad followed by beef fondue with fries and side dips. Absolutely yummy and such a fun way to eat. On seeing another table have a delicious ice cream with cherry and kirsch, that was definitely how we would finish our meal! The atmosphere was buzzing! The staff could not be more helpful and friendly.

Of course, the food was excellent. However, it’s really the people that work there that made the experience memorable. As a solo traveler, i was eating there alone but the server, which was extremely kind, made sure i didn’t feel lonely and was just very caring. Would 12/10 recommend

We visited this small restaurant in the old town having found it on google. Really friendly welcome, lovely casual feel with a sense of local community. We went for cheese fondue which was superb, but other dishes that were served looked excellent and wholesome. Daniel who served us was so helpful and fun. By going we also got to see the old town which was really interesting and less commercial than the main town on the lake. That’s not saying that the lakeside isn’t beautiful. It is stunning.

Our group of 6 was lucky enough to have Zack as our waiter. Very personable young man who took great care of us. We all had the combination dinner of charcuterie, followed by delicious cheese fondue, then meringues with Gruyère double cream. Also nice Chasselas wine and finished with limoncello. Altogether delightful and delicious meal. This place is tiny and tucked away, but worth the effort to find. We made a reservation, suggest others do the same.

The service was very friendly, but the majority of the menu was not available that evening and therefore we left without having dinner at this restaurant.
