Very satisfied, the food was absolutely delicious and the place was beautiful. The only remarks was the slowness of the service, I believe is due to understaffed issue. But the waiters where very nice and friendly :)

We arrived early as we were going to the Andre Rieu concert. We mentioned this to the waiter and he took it into consideration as the meal progressed. We chose the 35 Euro three course meal and each course was delicious. We would warmly recommend Cafe Louis/

Overall, the visit was very disappointing. We checked out the menu before hand and knew what we wanted to order before we got there. We booked during the Fork Festival with the 50% discount. Once we arrived at the restaurant, the staff said a few items were excluded from the discount, despite this NOT being stated in the conditions (only drinks and the tasting menu were mentioned to not be included in the discount). It felt like a CHEAP tactic to lure customers in using the discount, and only notifying then of the full list of excluded items after you've already settled down at the restaurant. When I stated that those items weren't included in the exclusion list and that this should have been clearly indicated, they simply responded with that I will have to pay full price for it if I want to order it. We ordered some other items of the menu to try, and as to not leave with an empty stomach, but the quality of the food was very disappointing. The soup contained disproportionately too much cheese (and that is saying a lot coming from me, an avid cheese lover) and the flavor profile was nothing special. The gamba's were very small and tasted too simple, not what I'd expect for that price point from such a fancy restaurant. The shrimpkroket was also meh, at best. The service, however, was very nice and friendly and the only reason for such a 'high' score. The food, on the other hand, was very disappointing, and DEFINITELY not worth it at that price point. I've tasted better (and less expensive!) French onion soups from the cafe's at the Market, than at the French restaurant cafe Louis, and that says something. I would not recommend.

A cute and quaint brasserie in a beautiful hotel in Maastricht. Lovely service and excellent food. A top pick in Maastricht and definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a elegant and casual place to dine.

I was at Café Louis in September 2018 and it was very very good. I came back on mid October and I was not satisfied. Food was very good as first time Waiting time was too long . And most of the tables were empty We ordered two glasses of wine we never received. And I am sure they understood we wanted the wine , because they put them in the bill ! (Obviously they cancelled it from the bill after my remark) Last but not least , in September there was a great deal for a 3 courses menu at 25 €. And I could choose anything from the menu This time everything was "a la carte" so it was 50% more expensive. So if you are looking for good food and atmosphere, you may enjoy. If you want a dedicated service , limited waiting time and a better quality/price ratio, you will be unsatisfied.
