6/10We have dined at this restaurant every time we are in Milan for the last 10 years, and we have great memories of our meals at Don Linsander. This is the only time we felt it was disappointing. We felt that they were understaffed and that the service suffered for it. In our view, the menu was limited (and they ran out of the fish even though we were the second patrons for dinner). The food was fine, but not, in our view, great. And we thought that the patio could really use a deep clean. I’m sorry to say we will probably find a new place to dine next time we are in Milan.

4/10Didn’t like the dishes at all. The waiter recommended the best dishes what they have in the restaurant and one of the dish (linguine with seafood was too salty and not tasty) and the risotto wasn’t tasty too. I liked only burato

5.5/10This restaurant looks like something it is NOT. If you are from States, think of a restaurant near a mall, like a factory that makes cheesecakes, if you get where I’m coming from. The painted walls and ornate decor in the photos make is look very old, and parts of it may have been. Also about 20 minute cab ride from center of Milan Left before we were served last course because of a medical issue, and the staff were very helpful getting us out and in a cab. Food we did eat was nice but if you reserve thinking this is fine Italian dining, it is a resort, with hotel kitchen.

9.5/10Very accommodating staff and also very knowledgeable. Nice location and super atmosphere. Beautiful menu and of course you want thé veal Milanese! I was only concerned that the food came out too fast, thinking of the Sri Lanken flip and fast reheat.

MILANESE - Nel cuore di Milano, a pochi passi dalla Scala, il ristorante Don Lisander si chiama così per il soprannome dato a Alessandro Manzoni. La raccolta sala è allestita nell'ex cappella del settecentesco Palazzo Trivulzio, che si amplia d'estate grazie al suggestivo patio.
CUCINA LOMBARDA - I menù si basano sulla cucina lombarda e regionale, in base a un'attentissima scelta di qualità e stagionalità. Si possono gustare il risotto alla milanese, i salumi della Val Tidone, il pesce freschissimo, e, nei mesi invernali, una ricca “cazzoeula”.
FATTO IN CASA - A disposizione poi numerose paste freschissime fatte in casa, oltre ai dolci anch'essi casalinghi. Ricca e nobile anche la cantina dei vini che offre le più grandi annate dei migliori produttori italiani.
