Stingy stingy. From the glass of wine to the desert via salad. It looks as if the policy is : price high serve low. I complained so they gave me a discount. Don’t need discounts. Just give me a reasonable generosity. The food itself is not bad , just nothing to write home about.

As far as I know from the waitor you caomplained about the quanitty of food, not the quality. Let me explain you that if you wish big amount of food you should reach different type of restaurant. On top of that I can confirm that non of our dear guests ever complain about the quantity of food in the dishes. The waitor, very gently tried to accomodate your complain with a price reduction which I understand it was not well deserved.

I think this is a best version of Don Lisander over the years. Food is just amazing! Service needs some polishing but the chef - simply bravo! Rare to find a combination of elegant, greatly testing food with the presentation deserving a couple of Michelin stars!

Branzino priced at €40 with very poor quality and basically tasteless salad with chickpeas next to it, It’s a real shame because the location is one of the most charming around. Unfortunately, the lighting and decor choices create an awkward atmosphere. I’m convinced they could do much better both in terms of food and ambiance and more reasonable pricing would certainly help. Perhaps that’s why it was nearly empty at lunchtime. Not going back

Why did you address your compliments to the waitor when been asked? Hypocrisy. That's the real shame. And despite the empty city we stay open to offer our great service to whom is able to appreciate it, as you may read from the many positive reviews we are receiving. No need for you to come back.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting a refined and delicious taste of Milan in a truly elegant setting. Dining at Don Lisander was an unforgettable experience. Located in the heart of Milan. A five-star experience from start to finish! The service was outstanding – professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. The wine list is also impressive, with an excellent selection of Italian labels that pair perfectly with the menu.

We found Don Lisander on a walk from our hotel to the Duomo. It looked welcoming from the street and a review of the menu they have outside the entrance made us decide it was worth a try. When we went to book online, we found that the restaurant has been in existence for decades. Arriving at the restaurant for our reservation we were shown into a dining room that was both rustic and cozy. Soft lighting and well spaced tables make this an ideal spot for a date night meal on a chilly night. The staff were friendly and accommodating. My travel companion is vegetarian and had several good allergies. They were able to make suggestions and work with the kitchen staff to make modifications to meet her needs. The food was outstanding and the wine selection paired well with the meal. They have a lovely terrace area perfect for warmer weather. We were very happy to make this culinary discovery.
